Have you upgraded your Forscan recently?

Newest trucks need newest builds.
YOU couldn't be any newer! :)
I did actually! Running the release that came out on 19-Oct.

Hi all! Picked up my truck this week and wanted to make changes. I've been able to do MOST of my wish list, however, the IPC will not allow writing to it, saying "incorrect security key" at any write attempt I do. Has anyone encountered this and/or found a fix?

Hoping to add gauge temps to the cluster and also glare free/adaptive headlamps.
Might try deleting the truck profile in Forscan on the laptop and let it reconnect and set it up from scratch.

Casting a line here:

I have the smart cruise control equipment, but I run it in dumb mode (it's what I like).

When I press the steering wheel button to arm cruise control, it does that Ford chime and pops a caution box up on the instrument cluster telling me that some cruise features are turned off. Then I have to press OK to clear it and get the cruise to set.

Does anyone know if I can stop that from happening every time? Perhaps I can "lock" cruise to be armed at all times? I don't like smart cruise.

As mention already, create a new truck profile. When you first connect and forscan asks if you would like to a profile click No.

If it still gives you the incorrect security key message do a IPC module reset under the wrench icon in forscan. When the IPC powers back up then try to write your changes. This has worked for me in the past when the IPC is acting finicky.

I’m not sure what’s going on with the welcome lights. However, I’m pretty sure all of your FORScan changes are getting overwritten by the original as-built configuration when FDRS reloads it after programming the module. You mentioned earlier that you don’t have OTA service in Kuwait. If that’s the case, every time you make a FORScan change, the only place it’s saved is locally on your truck. The changes never get phoned in to the mothership and saved in your as-built. That means, unfortunately, every time you update a module to which you made FORScan changes, those changes will be lost and you’ll need to make them again.

I just finished doing all changes in Forscan and I found that the Police Dark Mode was enabled so I disabled it and the welcome lights works again.

Thanks again

Thank you, But I tried to enable the unreal theme and 75th anniversary splash screen then reset the APIM a couple of times with no luck. I noticed that menu color changed from NAVY to BLACK that's all.

That looks like what I had as well when I first enabled the theme and reset the APIM. I then added the climate bar and seats/wheel display and the icons at the bottom changed. The rounded buttons are a giveaway that it's enabled.
