I may have not waited long enough after the Alexa activation BUT I guess we will find out.

You're not crazy, when I ask Alexa to play Amazon music it says "In order to stream media, you need a connected service plan"

I just posted another thread that talks about streaming apps coming to the Ford Mach-E. I think this is where the streaming plan comes into play.....starting with Alexa.

So maybe one day you'll be able to use apps like YouTube or something while parked, $10/mo seems steep just to add streaming capabilities to Alexa.

Yes, it indicates that the voltage/battery percentage is too low and will not continue.

Edit .. that was added because the dealers continued to not put chargers on at all and run ipma updates for hours and they would fail and couldn’t understand why. Dealers stupidity had to ford ford to put a nanny in to make sure you had a charger on it. If you have a charger you are fine. Watch the voltage and as long as you’re 12.2-13.5 ish you’re fine

Right now it's reported to stream YouTube, NBC News, NBC Today. Who knows if that list will increase. I use a device called the CANOPENER to enable everything while in motion. Not like I'll watch YouTube while driving but it was handy before we had Alexa with my GPS.

Did you have to do a master reset?

I finally did do a master reset this afternoon after thinking it was going to be required. I wouldn't think Ford would force everyone to wipe out all their settings including dumping Ford Pass and start over but who knows anymore... On a side note, Securalert is no longer an option in Ford Pass after the reset.

Yeah it does seem weird that a master is required to get Alexa. Maybe we are a little too ahead of the curve and there’s another update that wouldn’t require it.

What all does the GSM module control? I updated the ABS and GSM modules along with the APIM and my truck shifts way better and even uses 2nd gear now which has NEVER happened.
