Hi guys, this may seem like a silly question.

Is it possible to convert a 2021+ F-150 steering wheel to a Raptor steering wheel with paddle shifters. I seen where people have put Raptor steering wheels into the earlier model F150s. Does anyone have any information on doing The conversion on the latest f-150s???

Please I'm open to all ideas and suggestions. I recently supercharged my truck and notice that the transmission likes to search for gears sometimes. My truck has the column shifter But when I'm dragging it gets a little bit sketchy trying to control the with one hand on the steering wheel and one hand on the column shifter.

A few guys have and it seems pretty hit and miss if the paddle shifters work right out the gate, plug and play. I just tried it on mine right now this evening, 501A, and no go with the paddle shifters. The guy I bought the wheel from that has a 302A, was plug and play for him and paddles worked right away. So ya... I wonder more if its a early build versus later build kinda deal as my truck is a Job1 MY21. Seems like I'll need to add a harness which shouldn't be too bad as its only three wires, so hell or high water I'm going to make it work.

@bmac255 I got my Raptor wheel wired up and fully functional with the paddle shifters now. Looks like you have an XL though so you have a column shifter then correct? If so, then the swap should be plug and play for you as all the wiring is already ran to the steering wheel.

What is the operation like? Does it only work as manual mode, or does it work with the gear lockout?

Or is it like the factory control where it's lockout unless you hit the M button on the console?

It works no different than the plus and minus on the shifter, it's tapped into those same wires actually. Gear lockout or manual control when in M, mainly the paddles are in a much nicer spot to utilize, especially compared to the console shifter which are about in the most awkward spot ever.

Thanks. Are you willing to mention how much it cost you total? Throwing a rock it seems like the 21+ wheels are about $1000. It'll probably be a future mode for me, depending on how much control I'll end up needing/using when trucking the FWC through the mountains.

Maybe? Would have to look into that more as adaptive steering has a whole different steering control module and setup in the column, so not even sure if the correct three wires pass through the SECM from the wheel to run to the proper tie in location with the console shifter.

Hey @Jesse-Infotainment would you happen to have the schematic for a column shift connector you could share?

@wicked24 is adding it to his STX and it isn't prewired the short distance from the SCCM to the column shift so needs to add the wires.

Wheel was $800, got it from a guy on the 21+ FB group page, but you can get one pretty easy for that price online as well.
I think I saw the same wheel. That didn't work on your truck? If I recall correctly, he said there is a workaround to make it work?

I am adding this mod to my list for future upgrades.
