Heated Steering Wheel Retrofit - updated with information

That post was from before I did the upgrade. I have now. The DSM only handles the Heated and cooled seats, memory features and power running boards.

Your situation you are only doing the wheel you only need the SCCM and the wheel and to program the apim.

The SCCM handles everything.

It is a special spot. Its a min 10 Guage wire.

Im sorry for the million questions but do you or anyone else know the part number for the connecter for the heated steering wheel going from the clockspring to the BCM run? Its the only plug i cant find anywhere.

Finally did the install for the wheel but have a couple questions. I was able to configure the APIM to the super duty and have the heated wheel button on screen, but it isnt highlighted and can not be selected. Pin 15 on connector 2280A isnt populated but i was able to pin it and run power to the wheel but in run/start it is constant hot meaning the steering wheel heater is always on. not sure where to go from here?

What APIM changes did you make? Also verify you ran to the correct BCM pin. Sounds like you ran it to a constant power source rather than the Actual HSW output.

Oh actually Did you make any changes on the SCCM? You have to enable the HSW in the SCCM

Did you also enable the heated wheel option as well in the APIM? Along with in the SCCM?

That wire between the BCM and SCCM is hot in run all the time, as stated in the schematic above, so that is normal. The heated wheel part is controlled then by the SCCM.

SCCM changes were heated steering wheel enabled but i do have a U2101 control module configuration incompatible code with a B137F steering wheel left switch pack incorrect.
