Doeant mean much of anything these days.

That is priority of orders from a dealer. They have so many allocations per month.
In theory a 10 will get pulled before a 19.

But with all the supply chain issues, what can be buily is the driving factor.

Every dealer i have ever ordered from submitts all orders as 19.

Doesn't mean anything on when it will be built. My 22, went in at Priority 10 in Feb, and finally getting built this week.

This.

I was hyper-focused on my "Priority Code" after finding this forum and reading some of the posts on ordering, but it doesn't matter anymore. All that stuff was written in the "before-times". It's a crap shoot at this point. If I were predicting when an order would be delivered, I would generalize it and say that the "dumber" your truck is, the sooner you'll get it. HOWEVER, there are guys on here that waited a year on an XLT and guys that got a Platinum in a couple of months. If you have a good sales manager, he/she will let you know what parts/packages are "constrained" or "balanced out". These things would severely delay your order.

And this doesn't even take into account "shipping hell".

"The dumber" truck statement is exactly right.

But... the reason we "order" our trucks instead of buying one off the lot is because we "want" or "need" certain options.
I searched the nation for 5 months for a truck with something close to what I wanted, finally just ordered it and came here to complain about it for NINE months!

Over the course of that 9-months I watched guys who ordered their trucks months after my order, with worse "Priority Codes" get them delivered before mine was ever built.

If you want what you want, you wait.?

That goes both ways. I order mainly for crap I do not want. I do not want a moonroof or sliding rear. Have had both and never used either. So way pay an
extra 2k? Waste of money. I have no use of a rear seat. Will never be used. Why pay for it?

Also needed a RCSB 5.0 4x4, with 3.73 rear, LT tires, and snowplow prep. I also will not own a truck with carpet and leather seats. Waste of money for me. Both would last less than a year. And hands free? No thank you.

I ordered exactly what i had to have, wanted to have, and nothing i do not want and would not use.

My RCSB XL took 6.5 months from order to delivery. Yes, XL since i could not delete co-pilot from XLT. I have lane assist and rear sensors. Dont need any of that other crap.

I did not find another truck like i ordered on line during those 6 months. I might just have a 1 of 1.

I ordered my 2022 Lariat on 12/22/2021, it was assigned priority code 19.

I picked it up at the dealer on 6/8/2022, a couple of weeks after they received it, delivered exactly as originally ordered (no forced removals or deletions).

Lots of pure random luck, maybe a bit of good karma in-play, in any case the wait was worth it and actually less than I expected.

It's my understanding that priority code means nothing once your truck is initially scheduled; FWIW mine was rescheduled 7 times after I got the initial 'it's scheduled' notification from Ford.

Wishing all Good Luck with your orders.

Had I found the RCSB I was looking for, I likely would have opted for less options. Like you said, "options I do not want and would not use".

But there were certain "must haves" (4x4, 5.0, 360 degree cameras) and all the White RCSB XLs I could find fell short.

Since I had to order it and this is likely the last new truck I'll ever buy, I loaded it with everything available with few exceptions.

I didn't get the Block Heater because it doesn't get that cold where I live.
I didn't get the power tailgate and I didn't get the sliding rear window because of all the leak issues I read about here.

But I got everything else.

Now that Ford is deleting options that my truck has, even though I'll never use some of them... I'm glad I have them. It just makes my truck that much more rare and more valuable.

It's fun to play around with the options. Trailer assist is "interesting" and I can see it being useful in a long wheelbase truck but backing a trailer with a RCSB is much easier without the toys.

Lane keeping is a joke. I have no doubt that I would eventually get pulled over for DUI if I used it regularly.

Even with all the toys, it does what I bought it for and it does it very well.

Are you sure you could have gotten the power tailgate and the sliding rear window? It did say it on the build and price but I couldn't get the tailgate on mine just the power lock, no release.

And I don't remember which option it was but it wouldn't allow a slider. Weird one like maybe the adaptive cruise.

Did you get the snow plow prep? Guy I know has that and he doesn't have the speed controlled chin air dam. We were wondering if it was because of the snow plow prep or someone forgot it. Never know with ford.

But why paying for unused items because its "valuable"? If this is the last truck, resale value is meaningless.

I do not plan on replacing this truck. And if i do replace at 300k miles, those options dont amount to anything.

So again. Unkess i will use it, not going to spend money on it. Resale is going to be crap wether its a loaded limited or bare bones xl.

I did and I'm not sure about the air dam. I'll have to check.

I don't plan on replacing (or selling) my truck either. But "things" change.

Besides, I had budgeted for a certain payment threshold and my dealer was able to get me into a fully loaded version of a RCSB XLT WITH Primium Care ESP under that number.

As it stands, I'm seeing trucks like mine with more miles & less options listing at 5-7k over what I paid. If not for the 0% interest from FoMo Credit, I would be VERY tempted to sell it.

"Things change"...

Your 0% made me notice that you have a 21. The window slider and tailgate release might be another one of the things they removed from the 22 vs the 21 like the numbers on the temp dials etc..

My remote start said it was supposed to include the tail gate release but it doesn't, just bad info on the build and price. The fob is different too. No tailgate button on it. I would have liked a sliding window but not possible according to ford. Probably another 21 vs 22 thing.
