Looks like you had an APIM replaced. I guess when they installed it they did do a OMI but it never created a USB and a file didnt get loaded. It is looking for that file. Stupid useless file file non the less failure to find that file.

If you want I can provide files for the update its attempting. Its the APIM and TCU. I would give you the update for both. YOU HAVE OT DO BOTH.

One at a time via USB. These take 15 mins each or so.

If so ill send them in the morning.

I also have a job 1 truck not getting OTA update and the auto schedule greyed out. Dealer is telling me I need a new APIM which they ordered but have no idea or even an estimate when it might show up. I’ve had the USB from Jesses plugged in for several weeks with no update yet. I see the USB light blinking but that’s all. Thinking maybe it was the battery I’ve had a battery tender plugged in for the last three days, still nothing yet…..

You are several updates away form being close to BlueCruise.

They did do your IPMA> I bet youre having issues with your Adaptive cruise.

You need Your IPC, Gateway, APIM is WAY< WAY behind. You have some things thatneed to be done.

Battery is bad. Charger at a certain point wont help.

That’s a good question. Dealers have proven to be unwilling or incapable.. sometimes both. They need to do the updates i mentioned. You’ll get a notification immediately after it’s done in FordPass showing it’s active.. there is no waiting.

Thank you for your answer and quick response. I will be on the phone with them first thing in the morning. My FordPass is also not working as of today. I called Ford and they could not get it unlocked and have "escalated" the ticket. Somehow I think I will not be using BC on my trip to Tennessee this weekend.

Sorry. Wish I could handle it for you. Unfortunately you’re too far away from anything that’s an easy fix. You would need to have fdrs and we could get it handled for you.

FWIW. Attached is the detailed work order from my dealer. Not an easy process. And not their first attempt. But did get to BlueCruise.

All modules were updated and verified in this forum.

Most dealers resist customer input. Maybe you can sweet talk them into just reading a printed copy of the work order from another dealer. But don’t tell them you found it online or even say the word computer.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the attachment. I am frustrated with them. I am thinking about making the service manager go out with me for the 20 minute drive to the nearest interstate to ask him how the Blue Cruise is working. It won't help me leaving town on Friday but maybe it will get them off their a$$ to do something when I get back.

This is beyond crazy. It seems, the newer the truck, the worse this issue is getting. I have some quirks in my PB, like the drivers side rear passenger door stopped unlocking when you touch the drivers door handle (it does work when you touch the front passenger side door), but this OTA stuff is getting out of hand. My local dealer said they have just flat out stopped trying to do the updates, because it has failed time and time again. Best truck I have ever owned, but Ford has gotten way in over their head with all this tech. I need to hop over to the Lightning forum and see how those trucks are operating, because I can't imagine it is going well.

Great respect for your viewpoint, and I can see why it appears the way you sum it up from where you stand.

If you give an ordinary fella who owns a new F150 the SAME exact tool(s) that the dealerships are FAILING with, he will succeed in fixing the truck in his own driveway.

Ford has gotten way over somebody's head. I'll give you that!
