It appears Borla has released a system for the powerboost.

Steel is getting 'spensive. The single-side exit is $100 cheaper.

Pricing is in line with other exhausts out there. Ford perfromance exhaust for the eco is $1520 for the side exhaust or $1715 for rear exit.

You cannot make a V6 exhaust sound good everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jag and Alfa would like a word, but those are sport tuned exhausts and not a truck, so really they're the exception to the rule. And there's a way to build an exhaust on a V6 that make it sound like an inline-6. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut....

All I want to hear is the Twin turbos spooling up, thats ALL!!!

Yes. Agreed completely on these trucks. Realistically, you want the intake to hear the turbos better.

I think I'm going to look into the factory dual rear-exit parts for the Powerboost (part of the BAP). It should remain quiet, but look cool. Im sure it's a lot of $$$$

Powerboost BAP has side exhaust, does not come with the rear exit exhaust because the battery.

I just want a raptor style exhaust, trombone with valves. Sounds sexy. Mmmm.

I agree that there ARE some (few) great sounding V6's in the world. I remember being in some stop&go traffic with a current model GTR 1 lane over. I actually cracked my window a little to take it all in.

The Ford GT being another.

But, having said all that, if I heard even those glorious symphonies blowing by me and I looked up to see what the source was and found it to be a truck? My brain just wouldn't allow that to match up. Something would be not right. ??

I love the 3.5 Ecoboost. This Powerboost is my 3rd truck with it. I'm absolutely an addict of its torque on demand. But I don't think I want to hear it. In fact, I think it's amazing that it can do it so quietly. Thank you Ford for the stealth!

I'm eager to hear sound clips/reviews of this exhaust on the powerboost. Not so much for the sound itself (should be similar to the normal ecoboost s-type) but, to get a feel what it's like with the continuous engine start/stops of the hybrid. Similarly, reviews/sound at the RPMs when the truck is in generator mode - prefer not being a disturbance at the campsite.

Some mornings my truck wants to start the engine, others it's just a battery-only startup morning. Really only prefer to hear the exhaust when I want to really get on it.

I can't imagine how funny sounding the PB would be. I heard a Chevy with an exhaust and the cylinder deactivation pull up to a stop sign. When it left it was like "wow that sounds goofy" and then all 8 came on and it sounded normal.

The PowerBoost just seems like it would be strange, and I use mine as a generator a LOT and the whole point of it was how Q U I E T it is. Adding an exhaust would defeat the purpose for me. But I can totally get behind wanting to hear it.
