https://www.borla.com/products/ford-f-150-powerboost-cat-back-exhaust-system-140904bcIt appears Borla and has released a system for the powerboost.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jag and Alfa would like a word, but those are sport tuned exhausts and not a truck, so really they're the exception to the rule. And there's a way to build an exhaust on a V6 that make it sound like an inline-6. Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut....You cannot make a V6 exhaust sound good everrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
All I want to hear is the Twin turbos spooling up, thats ALL!!!
Powerboost BAP has side exhaust, does not come with the rear exit exhaust because the battery.I think I'm going to look into the factory dual rear-exit parts for the Powerboost (part of the BAP). It should remain quiet, but look cool. Im sure it's a lot of $$$$
I agree that there ARE some (few) great sounding V6's in the world. I remember being in some stop&go traffic with a current model GTR 1 lane over. I actually cracked my window a little to take it all in.Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Jag and Alfa would like a word, but those are sport tuned exhausts and not a truck, so really they're the exception to the rule. Doh!!Powerboost BAP has side exhaust, does not come with the rear exit exhaust because the battery.
I can't imagine how funny sounding the PB would be. I heard a Chevy with an exhaust and the cylinder deactivation pull up to a stop sign. When it left it was like "wow that sounds goofy" and then all 8 came on and it sounded normal.I'm eager to hear sound clips/reviews of this exhaust on the powerboost. Not so much for the sound itself (should be similar to the normal ecoboost s-type) but, to get a feel what it's like with the continuous engine start/stops of the hybrid. Similarly, reviews/sound at the RPMs when the truck is in generator mode - prefer not being a disturbance at the campsite.
Some mornings my truck wants to start the engine, others it's just a battery-only startup morning. Really only prefer to hear the exhaust when I want to really get on it.
