Why?I think I would do the PCM first, then the ABS, the ACM, and end up with the IPMA.

Or, because pcm updates have the potential of addressing some significant aspects of the overall drivability of the truck in general.Just to leave the USB update till last.

Well, that goes to why you would want to update the PCM, not the order in which you do the updates. I was aware of the reasons why GWM and TCU updates generally should go first. I wasn’t aware there were reasons for updating other modules in any particular order unless a TSB or FDRS itself specifically prescribes it.Or, because pcm updates have the potential of addressing some significant aspects of the overall drivability of the truck in general.![]()

And there are people on the Lightning forums asking how to get rid of Alexa using FORSCAN.Reading the Mach-E forums some folks are getting a Power Up 3.1.1 update preparing their vehicles for Alexa. Hopefully the F150's will be headed that way as well (and other Sync updates).

So true.... got to keep the kids happy... makes for a quieter trip...lolThat's hilarious!
All you have to do to get rid of Alexa is to never mention her name.
My 4 granddaughters would be heartbroken if Alexa was no longer in the truck. They 5 of them have bonded. I'm just the bus driver.
While I don't want (or need) Alexa, I may hold off on doing any other updates with FDRS until this is available and save getting a subscription twice. I know I have a few things pending now.Reading the Mach-E forums some folks are getting a Power Up 3.1.1 update preparing their vehicles for Alexa. That’s kind of my thought, I almost bought a subscription this weekend to try to clear the bad OTA download that’s pending but I can live with the stupid icon in Sync for now. Just wish yearly subscriptions were a little cheaper, would totally spring for a $500 one. While I don't want (or need) Alexa, I may hold off on doing any other updates with FDRS until this is available and save getting a subscription twice. I know most people have/use the clamps on their charger/power supply, but has anyone used ring terminals to connect to the truck? I just got the Genius 10 which has clamps and ring terminals. I may try to use the terminals to connect to the truck and get a better connection the next time I go to do updates. This is the best location I have found to connect the negative lead to the truck. The other locations in this thread didn't work for me. I'm using the maintainer recommended.
