I have a supplemental theory on the 10 day prep. Many of the trucks have been sitting and updates have come out since their manufacture. I'm thinking they are required to do updates and certainly any recalls before sale. Updates don't always go smoothly from what I hear...

You may be right. Mine doesn't have any recalls but it did sit for 2 months waiting to ship.

They get trucks in batches of 20 and sometimes those days are consecutive. It's not that each truck takes so much time, it's the sheer volume.

Mine will be ready Monday. That's less than the 1.5 weeks they quoted.

How long did it take your truck from when it shipped to when it reached Granger? And where did it ship from?

What was the procedure before you picked up your truck. Did you speak with finance at Granger to lock down what the totals would be before you traveled there? Did you need a certified check for any money you would give them? Any incite to the procedure you went through would be a big help for me and probably many others too! I'm at 7 days in "shipped" right now. Estimated delivery Monday 8/1. Build date 7/21. From KC.

Keep in mind that the shipped status on the tracker tool is not the same as the truck being physically shipped. It just means that the truck has been built. I think I was in the shipped status for a couple of days prior to the truck actually being loaded and hauled to Des Moines.

Yes the finance team will reach out and confirm rebates, financing etc. they give you a list of items they will need and you can email those items back.

I received the purchase agreement via email to review beforehand which makes the review at actual signing very quick.

I live very close so my vehicle is registered in Iowa so no transit tag was needed.

They will let you know the amount of the certified check and anything else you need to bring.

If interested in the Extended Service Plan warranty they send that info out ahead of time and will give you a quote as well. The pricing is good if you plan to keep it for a while.

Cool. I've paid in full for the last two 4Runners we've bought via personal check but I expect ever dealer is different. I'll wait and ask Shelby.

If you don't mind me asking, what did your rate end up being when financing through Granger? I'm planning on financing about 1/2 my truck and want to get the best rate as possible.
