Is there any downside to hitting the activate button in Ford Pass?

I wouldn’t think so once it’s loaded they will put it in transport mode so it will probably disconnect anyway , truck has made its way from Dearborn to flat rock tonightIs there any downside to hitting the activate button in Ford Pass?
They have to have the rail number in their system they're giving you written incorrectly, no way its been that long.Still no tracing info available for my NS railcar. Hopefully it's some sort of glitch and it's in its way here. 10 weeks of chip hold, 4 weeks awaiting shipping and now almost 2 weeks at the railcar, WTF?!
I hope thats the case. Chat gave me that number on 2 occasions. They have to have the rail number in their system they're giving you written incorrectly, no way its been that long.
I remember you saying that, wondering if they have it wrong themselves.I hope thats the case. Chat gave me that number on 2 occasions.
My number starts TTGX, what's yours? I wonder if my number is wrong or if the carrier is wrong.Just an fyi I thought I had a wrong rail car number but actually I had the wrong rail company. I was calling csx and later found it was on Norfolk southern. Once I called the correct company the trace worked and I have been able to follow it. Updates aren’t real time but the last Rail stop data.
NS Norfolk Southern@kevdog0710 same. I backwards engineered this by going to United road and figuring out my final destination was a Norfolk Southern lot. Somewhere on here you will find it the instructions for Norfolk southern tracing. Works better than csx in my opinion. Give it a shot. Can’t hurt.
NS is who I've been calling. I'll try and do the reverse engineering with CSX@kevdog0710 same. Good job telling the truth. Ford should try that one of these days. There’s no way I would keep waiting that long for them to figure out shipping. The entire customer service team should be fired at this point.I just got an email from the executive offices:
I truly apologize for the continued delays. I have checked your vehicle status daily and see today that the date has changed to 7/22/22-7/28/22. I have sent an inquiry to support, but have not received a response.
We are doing everything that we can to have your vehicle shipped.
As soon as I receive an update from support I will advise.

This is exactly the pattern that has been repeating since January. It is beyond frustrating to be on the receiving end of this customer experience. I do not accept the statement that Ford is doing everything to get this truck shipped. Were that the case, I would have received this truck months ago.
My dealer has been receiving a stream of F-150s ordered and built after mine. Two weeks ago they received 40 trucks all ordered and built after this truck.
I want to know what the reason is for the delay and how Ford intends to make this right.

So god damn sick of this.
that's where they get loaded on rail cars , mine moved from Dearborn to flat rock last night approximately 20 miles .Just found out today from a friend who was able to look into my VIN a bit more that my truck was moved from Dearborn Truck to Flat Rock Assembly on July 12th. They seemed surprised to see that. Dealer couldn't see that info for some reason. Said it should be there by August 16th (different from the 8/12 ETA). Making a bit more sense that I was able to click the Activate button in FordPass around that time.
I think someone else in this thread mentioned their truck was also moved from DTP to Flat Rock and they were also local in the Detroit area.
Like others have said, if I wasn't getting such a great deal on this particular truck I'd have a different one in the driveway already. But I won't be going through another winter without a truck in a 2012 Lincoln MKZ with blown out AWD....
Your truck shipped with Norfolk Southern? Mine shipped 7/4 with them bound for Jacksonville. It arrived on 7/12. My truck as just sat there missing two delivery windows and now I’m on the third. I think I’m more aggravated knowing it’s only 3 hours away and actually shipped vs it just not been shipped.NS is who I've been calling. I'll try and do the reverse engineering with CSX
