Hopefully this works to download the entire wiring diagram, this is the download link they gave me that I am still paying to keep active. Let me know if you have issues and I will find another way.

Got all my parts in today from Tasca. Hoping to have the same luck with being able to get it to work. Will report back when I get the forscan changes done. Anyone else had any luck over the past week?

I told myself, I would be okay without this, then this evening I clicked on the bed lights on my 2015…

Thanks to everyone who has gone through this, I will at some point now too. Right after the cup holders, emblems, suspension…

Maybe I should send the parts I have to the factory on my blend date and put my VIN on em, think they’ll use em?

Parts are ordered. Will follow up here when I have them operational. Still awaiting the truck itself...

So I've been lurking around on this thread for a while. I've had my '22 Lariat 502a Powerboost for about three weeks (I missed the part where the bed lights were only in the bed package too) and I wanted to do things the 'right' way. I ordered all the Ford parts, installed and them decided I'd pay the $200 dealer service fee for an hour of service to have the dealer reprogram. And they had it for over a day and tore the whole cab apart tracing wires or something because they couldn't figure it out. After having some words with the service manager, I took it home, ordered the OBD-usb cable. Made the 4 changes from page 2, and 10 minutes later, everything is working perfectly.
Thank you, you mad genius'.

Oh, I’d have been the crazy man at the car dealer. I think the details you report are so wrong it’s hard to believe.
i recently bought forscan and the usb/obdII cable and will be doing my own work also

Pretty sure I earned a spot on r/publicfreakouts....
For other's to reference, I first changed the bed lighting option to enabled in the BdyCM <-Not BdyCM (AS BUILT format)
and it did nothing.
then made the 4 changes in BdyCM (AS BUILT format) ... One of mine was already set.
I got a warning about making changes that I clicked okay for. Then mine worked.
I haven't gone back to disable bed lighting in the BdyCM so I don't know if that's necessary.
Mine works through the switch in the bed, phone app, and infotainment. infotainment in the truck also displays the lights in the bed on screen.
Thank you all again!

I think the switch part number has changed, its showing up as a steering wheel switch for me.

Does this look correct? SW-733 https://www.oemford.parts/oem-parts/ford-switch-assembly-sw7733
This is what I did. And it worked. The forscan changes all need to be made and the list of parts and part numbers worked in my 22 F-150 Lariat.
Genoz....
I installed Ford parts
ML3Z-14A411-F drivers side jumper wire from existing plugged connector (dummy plug) at drivers side to switch and lamp.
ML3Z-14A411-D passenger side jumper wire from existing plugged connector (dummy plug) at passenger side and connecting to passenger side lamp.
FL3Z-9C888B. Switch at drivers side reaf of bed near bed lamp.
JL3Z-13A756A Bed Lamps.
I made the forscan changes you have listed above. These codes are the same for a Super Duty.
THE LIGHTS WORK!!!!! the switch in the bed turns on the bed lights and the upper bed light at the upper brake light and the light in the tailgate for lighting the trailer area. The switch on the headlight control area does the same! They both will turn all those lights on and off.

If anyone needs the two jumper wires, I have one each extra from all my ordering trying to get them. If you want them make an offer.

Gene, I'm not very good with forums and threads, so my apologies for asking stupid questions if the answer is already here!
I just took deliver of a 22 Lariat Powerboost, trailer tow tech package, but not heavy duty trailer tow package, and I felt the same about needing to get the power tailgate, etc. just to get bed lights. I wanted to verify that the parts you listed in the tread is what is required along with the Forscan changes are all that you needed? No pulling apart trim and adding wires to BCM or other stuff? Thanks for posting what you have learned, much appreciated.

You are correct. No pulling apart anything. No adding wires to the BCM. The wiring you tap into is already in the truck from the factory. It is only used by the Limited and versions that you purchase the additional options for. All you are doing is adding the short "jumper" wires from the corners of the rear at the inside of the bumper to the actual lamp that you install along with the switch. Once you program witht the Forscan it all worked for me. I have the 22 Lariat with the minimal tow package. If you look at the wiring at the rear bumper corners you will see a plug with a 'dummy' connector in it. That is where you replace the 'dummy' connector that has no wiring in it with the actual jumper wire you purchase.

Thanks for verifying, yes I did see a pigtail on the passenger side, I will hopefully find the driver side, now knowing where to look. When I followed the link for the parts, some say they don't fit my 22 F150; I think in a thread somewhere, this was not true. Thanks again for identifying how to do it, when I get a chance I will be ordering in the parts, and learning how to use Forscan , or find someone to do it!

If you are ordering parts from the dealer, they will go by your vin. If your vin indicates that your vehicle did not come with those parts they will say that to you. If you order on line with ford.com and do not give them your vin, they will sell you the parts. Note: if your vehicle came with those parts your vin would indicate that when they look up parts. Do not give them your vin. Just order the parts.
