Why in the world would these lights NOT be plug and play? Makes no sense. They just need a power source.
Sort of.. nothing is simple with these trucks. It's all controlled by the BCM. The "switch" is just a trigger, which signals to the BCM to send power to the lights. Electrically 2 independent circuits.

Through Google searches/cross referencing/visual lookups, I've identified (I hope) all the original Molex connectors for the bed light harnesses. My truck appears, based on wiring/connector/service data, to have connectors at rear of truck for the bed lights. I've ordered all the connectors and pins from Digikey for around $15+shipping. I'll post a list when I receive them to confirm.

I purchased the OEM bed switch and after market lights from Amazon (OEM plug).

These are also the Forscan changes I'll be trying when I get these harnesses built. (Found I believe on a Tremor forum)

I installed the dealer parts for a 22 that has bed lights stock.

I used forscan to make the changes you list, those are also the same codes for a Super Duty.
2022 MY, 12/2021 build, XLT 302a.

I ordered what the dealer said I needed, 2 lights, a switch and left, right harnesses. The right side is fine and plugs right in after removing the dummy. The left side is a female to female.

If I’m reading correctly, it’s because I also need a harness from the front to rear, where both existing and new LED harness would plug into?

Got a part number?

Here’s a picture of what I got.

Looks like earlier model part numbers.

I installed Ford parts
ML3Z-14A411-F drivers side jumper wire from existing plugged connector (dummy plug) at drivers side to switch and lamp.
ML3Z-14A411-D passenger side jumper wire from existing plugged connector (dummy plug) at passenger side and connecting to passenger side lamp.
FL3Z-9C888B. Switch at drivers side reaf of bed near bed lamp.
JL3Z-13A756A Bed Lamps.
I made the forscan changes you have listed above. These codes are the same for a Super Duty.
THE LIGHTS WORK!!!!! the switch in the bed turns on the bed lights and the upper bed light at the upper brake light and the light in the tailgate for lighting the trailer area. The switch on the headlight control area does the same! They both will turn all those lights on and off.

If anyone needs the two jumper wires, I have one each extra from all my ordering trying to get them. If you want them make an offer.

Are you aware of any functions that do not mirror OEM Cargo lights (if had been installed at the factor)?

Was your left harness a male plug, and plugged into the existing spot with the dummy removed?
I read there might need another harness going to the cab under the dash - did you not need this?

Any chance you made an installation video?

No. The jumper harness has a male plug and plugs into the existing female plug.

No video. It’s simple and uses ford parts. But you need to use FORScan to change the body control module settings per CRFuzz posting comments.

1. ~$100 in parts: easy day.
2. Cutting out Line-X pieces: not too bad.
3. Learning FORScan, getting license & connectors: Uugh.

May wait until I’m inconvenienced enough to justify the effort.

No matter what: Hats off to @Genoz everyone!!! Bravo. Bravo.

I just got off the phone with the parts guy and was told that the harness part numbers used by Genoz don’t exist in their system.
I may just hardwire what I have and bypass the system, since I’m probably going to have to do the same for a trailer brake controller.

They will not show up for YOUR vin number but they are Ford parts for the Tremor and Limited. Try Fordparts.com or Lakeland Ford. Don’t give them your vin number since they don’t exist for your particular build.

Funny thing is that I didn’t even give him a VIN, only the part numbers.
I appreciate all your info. I’m driving cross country on Thursday so this project is on the back burner.
