Does doing these software updates yourself cause any warranty issues with Ford?

I dont see how your paying ford for a fdrs subscription and doing the job for them.

I haven’t had an OTA try and install since December this the reason I’ve been updating on my own. Who knows what’s going on with ford.

Im starting my updates tomorrow morning as well, My truck has been stuck on 1.7.1 and after 2 trips to the dealership, the last one being 7 days and all they did was kill the battery I've got everything I need to get the updates done and get my Job 1 2021 EAP Limited up to date and hopefully get BlueCruise enabled

188 didnt load. Only half the cluster update loaded. I can side load it. If you have FDRS try a PMI and see if it loads 188 FCA.. Until this gets corrected youll be stuck

188 didnt load. Only half the cluster update loaded. I can side load it. If you have FDRS try a PMI and see if it loads 188 FCA.. Until this gets corrected youll be stuck

Ah thank you. I have to rebuy FDRS in the next day or two and give this a shot, what does PMI stand for?

Just got my truck back from the dealer for 22B08. They said they couldn’t update or restore the APIM because their software flagged my Auto/Start stop was off. I have a Start/Stop eliminator installed. Can I manually update my APIM via USB?

Programmable Module Installation

Think of it like re-installing a piece of software on a computer. If the software installed on a PC doesn't work or is corrupt, one of the first things you might try is re-installing the software.

In FDRS, click on the module you want to interact with on the left side of the screen. On the right side of the screen will be several options (they look like the software updates screen). One of them is PMI. When you run it, you'll be asked if the physical module installed is the original. Answer NO. This hopefully will rewrite the software to the module as if it was new.

I believe @Jesse-Infotainment is referring to the IPC. Your current software value is not correct.
