Im not near my computer to look up your vin to see what all updates you have available. The best way is with the mongoose cable its $500. Plus you need a at least 2 day FDRS license. Probably best to get a 30 day license. You could probably get all of your updates done with the VCX Nano but its not advisable due to data corruption.
He has adaptive cruise so has a CCM so I would not recommend the VCX Nano as that is what bricks.

I've gotten fully up to date on my 302A to 22087 with the Nano without issues but I do not have a CCM / adaptive cruise.

I'm starting to wonder if I have a fucked up abs module. It's the last module left & it will not take an update.

I have also figured a few weird things out, when I picked the truck up two months ago it had this backup assist failure every time I put the truck into reverse. I have since learned that if I complete the 360 degree camera initialization this error goes away ironically. I have also noticed that if I try to update the abs module after doing the 360 degree initialization the error comes back and thus requires another 360 degree camera initialization.

Very odd.

My next issue is, I don't have bluecruise and at the same time I seem to of lost lane keep assist which should be there with adaptive cruise control.

The ABS module stays around in FDRS after the update is intalled. Seems to be normal

Yup it’s been stuck in my SW Updates list too along with GSM… seems to be a common thing.

Whenever you mess with the ABS you will get that warning the first time you backup. It will learn after a bit and stop giving you that message. I had that and the white guide lines wouldn’t be there until one or two times backing out of the driveway. So you may be chasing your tail. May want to try and drive a bit before doing it all over again.

FYI. Here is the info from my trip to the dealer to get BlueCruise installed. As I previously mentioned, they got it all done but got stuck with some problem with the GWM. I got it back and the next day a new GWM update came out that got it done. Also ended up replacing the battery.

Sorry if I’m being repetitive but I’m still trying to verify… is there anyone out there with a truck like mine. Job 1 302A fully loaded… that has gotten passed 2.3.0 and has cams in motion without forscan?

I made a video that may help explain the process for some of those with questions. I was new here a few weeks ago, read as much as I could and was still nervous when I got started. Hopefully this video will help show what the process looks like and how the updates take place.

If you like it. Please like and subscribe. Thanks.

Interesting, I am a little skeptical as I've been looking at that error since I got the truck long before I started updating anything and it didn't go away until today. Maybe the update would of solved it so will leave it alone.

I am curious, am I supposed to lose my regular lane keeping with adaptive cruise on non bluecruise roads? I was on the highway earlier which should support bluecruise and I couldn't get anything to work except adaptive cruise. The vehicle was able to sense lanes without an issue just didn't pick up and do any self steering, which it previously did even if it did complain every 15 seconds to touch the wheel.

I'm not understanding your questions? When you enable adaptive cruise with lane centering, you cant turn the lane keep on or off. If your adaptive cruise is off, You should be able to toggle lane keep on or off and it should work and inform you if its seeing the lines by green indicators on the IPC. Not sure how long you have been testing on the highway but may be worth going on a little longer test run to see.

Was wondering if anyone could take a peak and let me know if there is anything other than a GSM update available. Thanks in advance.

Ford will never admit it but they have a serious battery problem when it comes to these updates. The battery will test "good" but it's not passing whatever checks are needed for the modules to update. I got stuck in a restart loop on one of the TCU updates, the second I replaced my battery the update finished successfully.

Config is not for replacing a module.. Just run it and see. I have had it work where a pMI fails.
Still can't get past this DTC on the DSM. I'm beginning to suspect it might be the cause of why BlueCruise isn't being enabling despite being fully up to date.

So far I've tried multiple PMIs and a config, no luck.

I'm thinking of trying two things, but don't know if either are good options.
  1. Delete the DMS software file, MU5T-14C030-AL from: C:\ProgramData\Ford Motor Company\FDRS\fdrs\vehicle_software\STRATEGY, in hopes that running a another PMI will redownload the software file and apply it. Might get around any corruption with the existing file. The file's date and timestamp are from the very first time I ran a software update on the DSM. I don't know if a PMI uses the same software file or not.

  2. Use FORScan to change my current value for 744-23-02 to match the original as-built, then run a PMI. Thinking maybe that inconsistent value could be causing the new values not to be written correctly, in turn causing the DTC.

DSM wont prevent BlueCruise. What is your vin.. ill take a better look at all the modules. The DSM would be the least of the issues for BC not working.

That DTC is more of an annoyance than an Issue. The lines it adds is for the seats. The last lines it adds is all zeroed out.
