What are your overall impressions? Do you like the way the 10 speed shifts in this mode versus Normal mode? Is fuel economy that much different? Still waiting on mine. Thanks!

I just got a Pedal Commander, I wanted the throttle, didn't want it to stay in 6th gear max, and the higher revs.

100% yes. Crank the truck, it asks if I want to return to sport mode - yes sir I sure do want to return to sport mode!
Shifting is better, and cylinder deactivation is deactivated. I'm getting 16.0 MPG currently - but I like to launch at red lights and get loud with the exhaust. :)

I've actually only used Sport Mode a couple of times and that's been just over the past few weeks. Kinda lost for words without getting long winded so how about just WOW!

Is the pedal commander worth it? Do you keep the truck in Sport mode?

Unpopular opinion, I dislike sport mode and almost never use it. It holds gears way too long, and doesn't accelerate any faster than normal mode. I have an XLT though. Maybe sport mode is optimized for those lofty 4A trim levels. I will never know lol.

Yes sir, Ive had 4 in 4 different vehicles and love them. I have mine in City +1 now, perfect throttle response.
Got from Stage 3.

I agree with you. I think they went too aggressive with it, so I never use it.
I expected slightly higher revs before shifting and firmer shifts, but it revs way too high for my liking while cruising.
Had an aftermarket tune on my old 2003 Mercury Marauder, and it really made the shifts quick and firm. I was expecting something more like that for sport mode.

I use it occasionally for some spirited driving but only for a short period of time.

I couldn't see realistically driving around in it constantly for the same reasons mentioned above.

Not so much because of gas mileage but it just seems pretty hard on the truck to do that.

Strangely enough I actually liked the way the tow/haul mode drove. Its sort of a nice mix between Normal and Sport.

From my personal experience, there is no noticable improvement from a full stop. It does keep the truck in lower gear once rolling and you will feel the difference only then. It does hold gear too long which sort of lets out this whining noise (with Roush exhaust) therefore I dont use it much. I use it on the highway more so than anywhere else. Didn't see any noticable difference in MPG. Getting 13.6 with 80 percent highway with 33's and a 2" lift.

YOUR GLOVE BOX LIGHT IS ON
WAS ON THE WAY IN THIS MORNING NORMAL DAY BEEN DRIVING IN 4A FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW IN NORMAL MODE. TIRED OF SWITCHING FROM 4A TO 2WD AFTER SWITCHING FROM NORMAL TO SPORT.
SWITCHED TO SPORT ON THE WAY OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY AND A FEW BLOCKS AWAY IT SAID MODE NOT AVAILABLE AND SWITCHED NORM 2WD. SO I ROLLED A BLOCK FURTHER SWITCHED IT BACK TO SPORT AND IT DEFAULTS TO 4A, GOT OUT THE THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND ONTO THE 45MPH ROAD TO WRK. OH MAYBE 1/4 MILE LATER IT POPPED UP AGAIN AND SWITCHED TO NORM 2WD. SWITCHED IT BACK TO SPORT AND DROVE 10 MILES TO WRK AND NOTHING AFTER. LEFT MY KEY FOB IN MY GOLF BAG FROM LEAGUE LAST NIGHT IN THE GARAGE. GRABBED IT FIRST AND STARTED TRUCK PULLED THE GARBAGE CANS OUT FOR TRASH AND THEN JUMPED IN TRUCK . USUALLY TRUCK IS STARTED W AT LEAST 5MINS PRIOR TO LEAVING ON A 51 DEGREE MORNING THIS TIME OF YEAR . NOT SURE IF THAT MATTERS BUT THATS HOW IT WENT. OH SPORT MODE IS GREAT DO 90%OF DRIVING IN SPORT

UPDATE-HASNT DONE IT AGAIN SINCE THIS POST

Update: I picked up my truck last week. 5.0 in Sport mode on the highway is why I wanted the V8.
Amazing! I also enjoy the quicker throttle response around town. Thanks for all your posts!
