This makes no sense to me. I've been watching my dealer get XL's and XLT's that were built in March delivered every week, but it seems like the Lariat's and higher are just sitting around waiting for nothing.

@WinstonAL @KDPGame02 I know it doesn't matter because everything leaves Dearborn via Rail, but do your window stickers indicate Rail or Convoy? Just curious.
Mine shows Convoy.

Convoy. But I think that is not really accurate. Pretty sure mine will ultimately (if ever!) be shipped by train to New Orleans, then delivered to my dealer in Mississippi by truck.

Picked up my 402a at my dealer last night in AZ. Back at the dealer today for software updates and tint. Of course, like others, they cant get the software installed.
Ford's SW update process needs some serious work..
Truck is awesome, the few miles I drove it.

Yeah, mine is definitely coming to MA via train and then will get picked up by United Road to get up to NH.

So I talked to Ford Marketing today. It seems to me that they have changed their script. When I spoke to them in advance of my 4/7 estimated delivery date, the lady I spoke with me told me the vehicle had been released for shipping, but not actually shipped - and that it can take up to 28 days to ship so there was no way I was going to get it by April 7. She said "released" does not mean shipped. On April 5 I got my "to ensure your satisfaction" email that estimated delivery changed to April 15-23. (by the way Ford has refused to respond to my multiple emails asking exactly what they are doing during the additional time to ensure my satisfaction.)

Today, the marketing rep told me that my vehicle is "in transit", because "that is what 'released' means", and will be at my dealer's lot by April 23. I explained Ford's tracker still shows "awaiting shipment" and Palsapp still shows pending with the destination as "null", and she continued to insist that my truck is on the way to my dealer. What a crock of bull cocci.

I'm beginning think that Ford is purposefully delaying shipment of some higher priced - already built - vehicles for the sole purpose of including price increases once delivered. Price increases that take place for no other reason than Ford decides to delay shipment. I may explore the possibility of a class action lawsuit here.

Carry on.

For what it's worth they gave me 11-17th and it arrived on the 13th. I had it for a few hours before the dealer started trying to upgrade the "software". They have been at it for 8 hours with no luck..

They say pricing is price protected once an order is placed, but if someone gets tired of the wait and abandons the order, they can sell it at new pricing to someone else.

Bumped again. ? It begs the question of whether it was damaged in transit.

Very odd. My speculation is a batch of bad chips that were discovered after the fact. One of the 1/31 or 1/24 forum members had a terrible time on the drive from Iowa to Texas with his truck. The symptoms to me seemed like a faulty module either the chips themselves or some part of the process. So you got a missing chip, but now they don’t have a new one to replace it with.

That said, your theory is just as likely, if not more so, with these sitting in parking lots in Detroit for months on end — and evidently being driven 20+ miles (not trucked) between storage locations.

This time I only got a 4 day bump in the window. Now the 18th-24th but as of Friday it was still in Melvindale, MI.. so doubtful the new dates will stick.

Just got word that mine has made it to Ramp 5M in New Boston, MI. I'm assuming it's now waiting to get on a train car for its trek to the Northeast.

Or as I'm seeing in other threads, it's just a lack of convoy drivers and carriers to move the backlog effectively. But who really knows at this point.

Ford customer service line just confirmed I'm on chip hold. No ETA given. But, "the truck is built!"
