There is a new order guide that came out yesterday. There were some changes, but I don't recall what. It is posted on this site in a thread. You might be able to review your orders against what is now available to build. The changes go hand in had with Job 2 I believe.

Thanks. I reviewed the most recent Order Guide from 3/14. I saw no updates after Job 2 for the Tow Tech Package.

As a side note I contacted a dealership in Ohio and had them run through the ordering process to validate what I have bene told. They received an Informational Alert saying the Tow Tech Package has balanced out for all F-150s this year. I'm taking this as independent confirmation that new orders moving forward won't have the ability to add the Tow Tech Package.

One wonders what the ramifications are for those F-150 trucks in-process that include the tow-technology/360 camera package. I also thought the cameras were required in order to get Copilot 360 Active 2.0 (Blue Cruise).

Next best option, IMO, is Trailer Tow package (53A) w/ 360° cameras added (763). Added benefit: Ford then says you can pull over 7k-lbs.

'Balanced Out,' Nice euphemism for running out of parts! I wonder if you can still get the 360° cameras with Max Tow? Or if that's off the table now too. They might be rationing them though, because the last thing they will want to do is quit offering Max Tow because they ran out of 360° camera modules and then have to sit on* the 3/4 float axles for six months or more.

*not so much sit on as let sit out in the elements:

That's a great question. I'll check in with my dealer today to see if option is still available and comes with the cameras.

Again, you don’t have to go all the way to Max Tow package (53C). Trailer Tow package (53A) will save you about $1K.

Furthermore, if you’re ordering a PowerBoost engine, many forum members have come to the conclusion that the Max Tow squeeze isn’t worth the juice (many threads on this already explaining why) in comparison to Trailer Tow package.

Clarification, though. Neither the Trailer Tow package (53A), nor the Max Trailer Tow package (53C), include the 360 cameras for free. The cameras are a separate, add-on option (763). The Technology Tow package (17T) miraculously included the 360 cameras for free, for some reason.

I ended up just doing the Trailer Tow package and the 360-degree cameras. All in it's only adding $1K to the overall cost, which is pretty negligible over the life of the loan. My sales guy seemed pretty hesitant that this will work after I brought up the solutions, but he did as he was told and I've signed the new build sheet. Here is to hoping the system accepts it and doesn't throw another error message.

If the tow tech package (17T) is truly balanced out, but you can still order a with the trailer Tow package (53A), and the 360-degree camera option (763), then Ford is only doing this to increase the purchase price by $975. As there is nothing inherently exclusive to the tow tech that cannot be obtained through other more costly packaging combinations.

Confirmed it worked. My order went through. I'll just cross my fingers and hope Ford doesn't come back and nix the cameras now.

Thank you everyone who has replied and helped with solutions. Much appreciated!

Here's something interesting from the latest order guide: Power Trailer Tow Mirrors aren't available with Tow Technology Pkg, they require Max Tow or Tow Pkg and 360-deg cameras. So it looks like the death of Tow Tech was all but stated there.

Tow mirrors were never available with Tow Tech (17T). Always needed Trailer Tow (53A) or Max Trailer Tow (53C).

Ordered my 2022 XLT FX4 in Nov. My dealer did not know any answers about towing options. Had to research on my own and then teach him. For my order the Tow Tech Pkg included the 360 cameras. If you ordered the Max Tow Pkg, then the cameras were $880 extra. See this table from Ford that I finally found to help compare things side by side. But with all the parts shortages and delays, this table could already be obsolete. But yes, if you tow more than 7-8,000lbs, then the Max Tow is needed. my max trailer is under 6000, so I just saved the money.

Personally, we haven’t chosen a TT yet so I splurged on Max Tow.
