Assumed so, but you never know. The order was not a formal contract, just an Order Preview that I signed along with the quote from them. Under the UCC, pretty sure this would meet the requirements for a contract for sale of goods, but not sure how Ford treats this situation and don't want to have to fight it.
That piece right there is what is giving me sleepless nights. This negotiation part and dealers knowing that if you walk away they can sell the 'on the lot' truck for $5000 more. It sucks. Really hope are generally dealing with honorable dealers, especially the ones advertising here on this forum for below invoice pricing. The sticker will always show the most current prices from ford no matter what price you were given when you ordered it. The final price is up to your dealer, I told my dealer I need a price now before my truck comes in and ensured it will be the price when I ordered and not the price after the increase. The dealer does not have to honor this so I would recommend clarifying this asap, same with your loan agreement (apr), so you’re not trying to negotiate this the day you go to pick up your truck. Most dealers will honor the price and loan deals when you ordered it but that’s not always the case.
Years ago a bought a car for my wife, and they started tacking on doc fees and the likes. I walked out as I, from the start, were agreeing and negotiating on out the door pricing. They called me back the next day and I got it at the agreed price. I doubt I'll be that lucky these days.
