I wonder what engine they will use as a generator. Maybe they will develop their own type of generator that may be better on fuel. I think this is a great idea. Beating ram to this release. Hopefully it’s a step forward and quality will come first. They should bring back the 3.3 and use that as a generator. Ram was going to use their pentastar 3.6 which gets pretty solid fuel economy for its size.

There’s a sweet spot triangle between battery capacity, generator output, and fuel tank size. I don’t know what it is, but once it’s found, it will be scalable.

3.3l for smaller applications and the 7.3l for Super Duty work.

Reading the responses on the ICE F150 forum is a DRASTICALLY different tone than reading the comments on the lightning forum

I agree. I was reading the comments and the amount of people saying they will look at other companies is crazy. I think it’ll even out between people who go somewhere else for full electric and people who convert from ICE to EREV.

It’ll open doors to a lot of businesses and also people who rent/live in an apartments.

If it tanks the value of the Lightning. I wouldn’t mind picking up one for cheap. I originally wanted the 39k Lightning Pro but once that price increased significantly it no longer made sense to me.

I’d love one for around town and the 9.6kw Pro Power!
