Hi in the past couple days my truck has given me a yellow wrench. When I try to read the code there is none and nothing saved. I even tried to read it while the wrench is still showing on the dash and nothing. Its happened twice and seems to happen when I accelerate. I don't feel any missing and the the truck runs fine and does not feel as its in limp mode as I am able to drive at highway speeds with no loss of power. I would take it in but next appointment available in the area is the middle of January. Any thoughts? Could this be gas related? last fill up was real gas higher octane (93) than I normally use (87). Forgot to add 2021 Ford Lariat 4wheel FX4 3.5 eco

Just an FYI, if you take it in and it doesn't throw codes or have the wrench on then there's not a whole lot they'll be able to do.

That's what I figure as well. Nothing pointing to something that's broken and nothing acting up like a missed shift or back fire. Truck runs great and only thing that has changed was the last fill up.

That's the thing no codes have been stored. Have an appointment, maybe at least they will be able to check normal maintenance items.

Ok so I switched back to regular Ethanol gas and 2 tanks later no more yellow wrenches? So I doubt that Ethanol free gasoline would cause a problem but I can only think it had to be bad gas?
