XLT Universal Garage Door Opener?

So... We cannot get a universal garage door opener on a top specced XLT for 2021? It never occurred to me that such a simple feature would be excluded without getting into luxury F150 territory... Sigh.

RIGHT?! I have 3 different universal garage opener buttons on my 2014 Fusion SE!
When i saw that it was one of the only changes between Lariat 500A and 501A was the better speakers and the garage opener.

This was a gripe/annoyance I had with my 2017 XLT 302a - that I could not have a garage door opener integrated unless I bought a Lariat!

There was an image shared on one of the forums (which makes it impossible to search) but it showed standard features vs trims and which features have waterfalled down from upper trims in the 2021's vs the 2020's. I believe "Homelink" was in there for XLT's this time around. So use that word (homelink) to try to find your answers in searches.

And for those of use stuck with the previous XLT trim and no "luxury" $8,000 garage door openers, I got this one from Amazon, it learned my 2 chamberlain rolling codes and my condo's industrial garage code using only the remote! (ssshhh don't tell them) Also it has been 3 years and it's still using the original coin cell, and works several hundred feet up the street

I was fully expecting to find one on my 302A XLT when I picked it up last Saturday. But no....
Still going to have to clip my opener to the visor. ?

The garage door openers are headed the way of satellite radio ( $5 XM App) and navigation (free WAZE). Everyone will soon realize there are WIFI garage door opener (under $300) with APPs that access Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. The technology is already available today to add to older openers for less than $50. Car manufactures know this and are phasing them out. It's cheaper for them not include them as standard equipment. Most new openers have this technology already built in.

I have my q garage door opener that I can use my phone to open and close garage. would be great if my XLT would pull that up on carplay/sync

I’m not interested in having to fumble for my phone just to open the garage door. I prefer a single button to push. Easy, muscle memory, no distracted driving. ????
