X Plan Pin After Order

Sorry if this was posted already, I did not see a simular title.
Is x plan pricing available after a custom order was placed if the dealer participates in x plan, or would that have happened at the time of ordering.

The ford partner faq says at the time of purchase:
How do I participate?

"Each time you wish to participate in the Plan you will need to obtain an approval prior to the purchase. For each approval you will need to generate a new Personal Identification Number (PIN). To request a PIN, go the "Generate a PIN" tab from Ford or Lincoln web site versions at https://www.fordpartner.com/. Go to our "Process and Documentation” section for further details."

Has anyone ordered, then got a pin, and then applied x plan to the existing order at time of delivery aka purchasing the vehicle?

I ordered in March 22 and joined the Mustang club around the same time, now I am eligible of a pin. Just wondering if it is possible to get an even better deal

I ordered mine X-plan and the dealer said he didn’t need the pin until the vehicle is delivered. But he was at least aware that it was being ordered through x-plan.

Yea they do not need the pin until delivery/pick up. You might want to tell them about it and (depending on dealer) they might show you more accurate pricing when ordering.

You need to tell dealer xplan up front.
You have a order sheet with deal/price noted and signed.

They do not have to honor it after the fact.

Thanks, I'll reach out to the dealer and see what they say. If not, oh well. Still not a 100% on if I'm going to take the truck if they remove any more features from the 701a. And the way the PowerBoosts keep getting bumped out its only a matter of time before something else is going to get stripped out.

I am in the same boat. It was not until I was browsing around these forums that I found out that Ford stock owners were eligible for X-Plan. I did notify the dealer once I requested my pin. We will see what they say when the truck arrives.

I emailed the dealer after the order and the sales manager said they would do it. But I don't think they have to. That said, since I didn't have a VIN yet, I didn't have to keep my order with them either. Maybe since you are X-Plan eligible now, you have a bit of leverage. If they don't voluntarily give you X-plan pricing, you can cancel the order and order a 2023 on the X-plan. That may not get you the X-plan now, but if they know that you are willing to do that they may offer you a bit more of a discount to keep the 2022 order.

your supposed to tell them when your buying your using x plan. and present a pin upon delivery and sale along with proof of be able to use x plan like a club or the like member credentials
technically its not delivered to you so your pin is not needed until then

but plan participation is at the discretion of the dealer

Dealers are not obligated to honor X Plan. I contacted 20+ Texas dealers, and they would not (2/22) and I bought 1, ordered 1 at the same time. Many dealers said Ford reimburses them, but they are slow to pay. We had a Pin generated for the one we drove home, and will need another Pin when (IF) the order arrives. But we did have to disclose this when we generated the order. The X Plan pricing was on the order sheet and the dealer made sure it was price protected. Also, you need to make sure to include any rebates or incentives at that time. Good dealers will lock those in at that time.
