I used the Torque application on my android phone to read Hybrid Battery % and have seen a low of 42% (when the ICE kicks in on level roads) and 70% (when coasting down a mountain grade).
What item did you use to see the battery charger level?

I may have, but I don't remember. At first, I went nuts in forscan and enabled everything that looked interesting (dumb/ballsy but why not), and I didn't have much luck there. I can try it out tomorrow if you'd like. My APIM is set for replacement as soon as the part is in, so I guess it's not a huge deal if it bricks (as long as Ford doesn't do any forensics on it). Lol
Nice, nice. I am very worried about bricking my daily driver (hence my hesitance to forscan until now) but it was in the IPC:

I don't know where this even *would* display, but it sounds like a bunch of options under a bucket of "Virtual Gauges". Like to see any you need to enable virtual gauges first? I have no idea!

So you have an ODBII to bluetooth or wifi bridge plugged into your ODBII port? I tried the app but there is no option for ODBII to USB since I just got the cable. (my samsung phone has an adapter to be a USB-A host port). That would be so cool to see the battery charge and reverse engineer the algorithm on the HEV drive strategy.

Yes, attached is a shot of the OBDII interface that I use (used in my previous vehicle). It's bluetooth.

The only issues I've ever had with Torque were related to the adapter I was using. I'm on my 3rd one as the cheap options from Amazon/eBay that are China knockoffs didn't always work. I finally found an authentic ELM327 adapter and haven't had an issue since. I haven't really used the app with my truck yet, but now I want to add long as I remember the next time I go to drive.

Now THIS... THIS is badass...

Is it as simple as you buy that ODBII bridge, leave it plugged in, and the app just finds it and you pick your gauges? Would love to know how easy/reliable it is before investing the $20

Not really as simple as the app finding the HBATT sensor, but almost. When you configure the gauge, I selected advanced (or was it extended?) sensor list and had to scroll around to find it. Once selected, the gauge will appear and you can arrange it on the screen as you see fit.

I can't really compare the BAFX against any other but I have had it for about 4 years now and haven't had a problem. I leave it plugged in 100% of the time so it's ready whenever I need it.

I can't find the one I bought anymore, as it was 4-5 years ago. Their website still exists, but I don't see a way to buy anything from them ATM. Also, Bluetooth adapters (and Torque) are Android only. Torque has a list of adapters that work on their website, see here. You can also check out ELM's page for people that use authentic chips and see if one of them works, here.

Some knockoff adapters work, some don't, some kinda work. I do know that my genuine device has always worked for me and operates faster than any of the fake ones I bought.

I got the ODBII 2 Bluetooth adapter (BAFX one) and tried Torque Lite and it works fine - for what it does.

What it DOESN'T seem to do is have any knowledge of things specific to these new powerboosts (like the hybrid battery). Looks like we have to know the custom PIDs of these gauges.

Does anyone know of a list of powerboost PIDs and formulas? I found a post on a Ford C-max forum and would expect it to look something like this: https://fordcmaxhybridforum.com/topic/2757-obd2-–-elm-327-–-torque/?tab=comments#comment-33841

Perhaps Forscan gives us the PIDs in a list used in its gauges? My PC is currently docked and in use for work so I can't take it out to my truck to experiment.

Mine picked up the extended PIDs automatically. I did have to be connected to the truck before they showed up in the list though, and they have a prefix, so they're at the top (or bottom, I forget) of the list of PIDs.

Your Torque picked up the PIDs? Or your Forscan? If you mean Forscan do you know if it lets you see the formula for each? Like the math it applies to the A byte and B byte?

Torque picked up the extended PIDs with all of the hybrid stuff, and possibly more.
