I'm so pissed, truck went into production week of 1/15 as did many other people's. There's no chip holds, supply chain issue B.S. anymore so what is going on? Mine has "been in production" for weeks now.

Isn't it better to get a complete truck without issues instead of rushing them out the door? Could be some hiccups in production. Supply chain issues are still very much a thing across every industry, I see it daily.

I'd like a real answer from Ford... tell us exactly what the hold up is.... chips or parts?

Rumor is trucks might be on hold due to 2023 inventory and want to sell more 2023 trucks at higher prices, then 2024 trucks will be released and delivered.

I wonder if these are going to be known as 2024 1/2 F150?
The first Mustangs were introduced and available to the public in April of '64. They had a naming designation as the "1964 1/2 Mustang".
These new 2024s seem to be following the same half-year designation, with expectations of first delivery being in March, April or May?
I hope they don't have the same negative stigma the 64 1/2 Mustangs have.

I'm not sure that's the case. That would just leave more 2024s in inventory by the end of 2024.

It worked on me. I bought one of the last 2023s because I didn’t want to wait. They did discount it about 5k. I didn’t really care about the 2024 changes except the larger screen, which my 23 had anyway.

You're not gonna like this and chances are, you'll disagree but...

It has nothing to do with the 2023's. Ford doesn't care about those as much as people think because once it's on the dealers lot for more than 90 days, the dealership begins to pay interest on those vehicles. As far as Ford is concerned, the only reason they want the '23's gone is so that dealer will order more trucks. For manufacturers, it's all about volume so yeah, Ford wants the 24's out there just as much as you do. As to the '23's, those trucks are already gone in Ford's eye.

As to why we haven't seen the '24's yet, Ford has already told us (I think a few have hit some dealer lots in Michigan but labeled not to sell yet). The Ranger for example, has been built and they are all sitting on Ford lots outside of the factory until that factory has a certain percentage of clean builds run through. Think of it like a quality check for their assembly process. It's not necessarily a quality check for your truck per se, more so for their assembly and manufacturing process. Ford does this for every new model and while the '24 isn't new, it is a mid-cycle refresh and falls into this category especially since they eliminated something like 2300 parts and over 90 configurations from the F150 or something like that.

Every manufacturer does it a little different. This just happens to be the way Ford does it. Another example, Ram is already finished building all of it's 2024's for the year and will begin making the 2025 trucks next month for release at the end of Q1 this year. This has been stated on Ram's website.

At the end of the day, just relax. Ford Truck month should be starting in February sometime and if your truck gets delivered then, you will likely have more/better incentives and a better interest rate. If it arrives now, you get nothing and potentially spend a few thousand more for the same truck. If that's not good enough, buy a Chevy or Ram (but I bet you won't and Ford is betting on that too).

This is exactly what I was told about my 2024 Platinum that the dealer said rolled off the line on Jan 4th. I was told that the F150 hasn't hit the quality % yet so they are holding them all at this point. According to my dealer they are hoping to be released sometime this week but ultimately it is a waiting game at this point.

My Platinum was scheduled the week of 1/15 like yours and was in production 1/19. On 1/25 I got an email from Ford saying production was taking longer than expected. I was able to print the window sticker and the dealer checked on location and found that it was not in the plant. Mine and yours are probably parked in the same row at Dearborn.

I just chatted with Ford customer help and they informed me that my truck was delivered on January 24 to my dealership. I've been seeing photos of 24s at dealerships with a window sticker that says "Do Not Sell" I plan to go up to dealership today to see if it's there. I'm mostly pissed because my salesman told me he didn't know when it would be in yesterday...all so confusing..

I looked on Granger's site and saw my truck / VIN listed....the price has gone up a bit ?....looks like they added a 1 to the front of the "build & price" price. Listed as "Not for Sale" as well as about 20 others.

Ford F-150 When are the 2024s gonna be delivered??? f150 VIN

I hope you have a PCO or another rebate to help offset that increased price. ?

Please keep me posted on what you find out on your truck. Estimated delivery to my dealer (in Idaho) is Feb. 9th - 15th supposedly. I'll start looking into trucks shipped on the trains and see if I get any results.

I saw same when searching for 2024 trucks online. On random dealer websites for $100k over MSRP.
