What is PowerBoost Alternator Output

I believe there is some smokey evidence that there are very short periods of time and very specific circumstances that there might be current being generated by the BISG.

I personally haven't been able to confirm it, but I believe HammaMan pointed to evidence he felt at least inferred such.

I'm sceptical. But I have eaten crow with this truck so many times that it is a mainstay on the menu.

I want the BISG to drive the 12V system bus should the DC/DC converter fail. It has an old school starter so I'm hoping it can function ICE only if need be. The fact that I want it to do that doesn't constitute reality, but it can't be completely ruled out either yet I don't believe.

Sorry to revive an old thread but did anyone ever figure out what total amperage is available on the Powerboost? I’m looking at adding a winch eventually and want to understand how much I can expect to be available.

220a so long as the key is in the run position. Ford doesn't appear to use the belt starter generator for anything other than starting the engine and has deleted it entirely in 2024 models.
