I'm heading out to Granger next week to pickup my '24 Lariat. I'm curious what features do you guys turn off right away? I'm mainly thinking of the safety features that are actually more of an annoyance then actually helping. Would be nice to have a few things to turn off ASAP before driving 1200 miles back with it and trying to figure out how to turn it off in-flight.

The only thing I turned off was the brake hold. I liked the feature, but didn’t like to start moving after using. Was very lurchy
Is this a FORScan switch or can it be done without it?

I keep rain sensing wipers turned off and lane keeping unless I'm using Blue cruise.

Turn off the rain sensing (turn signal lever) and courtesy wipe (vehicle settings).

I could see the courtesy wipe, But isn't the rain sensing just a different switch on the stalk?

Yes. I found when I leave it on I get an occasional wipe upon startup. Since the windshield is ofteh dry and dusty (Texas yall).... not a good thing.

Pretty much everything turned off. Auto hold, lane keep, reverse brake assist, cross traffic alert, reverse sensors. Auto start/stop I turn off every time until I permanently disable with Forscan. I think the only thing I left on is the emergency braking, but with the lowest sensitivity setting.

^^^ All this plus rear child safety reminder, brake hold assist, seat belt reminder chimes, sure I’m forgetting something else.

Courtesy wipe. I like rain sensing for the most part, but I am old school, I never leave my wipers switch on no matter what automation it has. Reached my destination, Park, Wipers OFF, Engine OFF. Decades of muscle memory routine.
Child reminder
Auto Hold is nice but I only turn it on if I am stuck in heavy traffic because my driveway is on a slope and I don't want to hit the gas pedal when my truck is parked forward facing on a slope when I start driving to get out of brake hold.
Start Stop - hate it with all mu guts, but that's easy, it's a button on the dash.

My suggestion is to start your journey home and get to learn the truck along with what you like or hate, you can always turn it off later.
