Anyone know how to de-couple the instrument panel and big screen brightness from the backlighting on the HVAC and audio controls? Once I get the brightness of the IPC and screen down where I want it, the backlights are so low the controls are unidentifable. FORSCAN maybe?

Not in FORScan that I know of.
Bummer. We actually have dark skies here, but even so, I can see no rational to dimming the backlighting at all, ever. Its low in your your field of vision, and simply not bright enough even on the highest setting to interfere with the outside view.

Does no one just push buttons anymore to see what they do? Maybe someday I'll die, but that's what I do.
Yep, but I noticed these with the truck off. Fyi, they don't do anything with the truck off.

Yes, I do with the instrument screen can be dimmed more without the heater and radio buttons disappearing. Even on its dimmest, the speedometer screen is very distracting.

I should explain more: I originally misread your previous; I was thinking you wanted to decouple the sync screen brightness from the cluster brightness for individual adjustment. I realised a while later that you actually wanted to decouple the cluster from the other centre stack backlighting. After exploring the options, I cannot do so. If I fix the backlighting to a brighter value, it also locks the cluster at the corresponding level; it means you can't have a dim cluster with bright backlighting for centre stack (and other switches) backlighting.

Imshould also say that to work around the problem, you could enable the Smart surface (unreal) interface for sync and add the climate bar; at least those functions would be more visible.

I don't Understand what you're saying; can you elaborate?

I'm sorry, I meant to write

Yes, I do wish the instrument screen can be dimmed more without the heater and radio buttons disappearing. Even on its dimmest, the speedometer screen is very distracting.

There are six day-level and 12 night-level brightness settings. Once you choose the lowest night level by the switches, or even by modifying it in FORScan to lock at the lowest, it can go no further. Lowest switch level is the same as the lowest level you can set in FORScan, sorry.
