9's? really? A 2024 ZO6 Corvette runs 10.7 at 130 mph. You think that an F150 that weighs 2300# more than a Vette and is shaped like a brick is going to walk all over a ZO6 in the 1/4 mile?

These motors have variable CAM timing so getting new cams won't do much, that's the beauty of this design, you get low end and top end performance with a single grind due to the adjustability the cams/programming have. Adding the Whipple is much more than just go fast.

All of the naysayers always come back with the same thing, why do you try and make these trucks so fast? It is not always about making them faster, the on demand torque the blower adds is AWESOME for daily driving. I like how it makes vehicles just more responsive and fun to drive. If you keep your foot out of it, you wouldn't really know it's supercharged except for the intake whine. You can tell the guys who have driven blown vehicles and those who haven't-

Another beauty is part of the tune you get with the blower is NO MORE CD and NO MORE Auto/Stop/Start, the 2 things I hate the most!

I commute ~70 miles a day on freeways and state highways (like most folks) and I love my supercharged motor and how it performs. Drives like grandpas' truck till ya whack it, then Evil Granpa comes out!

When you launch a blown F150 in 4/AWD, the Vette doesn't stand a chance on the launch. The AWD just hooks and books-The one in the video above has a worked trans and some added fuel with a smaller pulley-but, a stock 5.0 and you just add the Whipple kit will take a 4x4 with street tires deep in the 11's easily. To get to the 9's, you need a smaller pulley, updated tune, add some fuel and beef up the tranny.

But then I've got nothing to 'prove' on the street or track, VMMV.

He's spending his own money...

What is the obsession with making these bricks go faster? Some kid in a Honda with 1/2 the hp/tq and half the weight will leave you in the dust. at a stoplight.

my advice is to forget the whipple and put 5k in a good mutual fund.

If you insist on going fast, buy a used Busa. Nothing you are likely to run into on the road will smoke a Busa.

And if you buy the FORD Performance version of the Whipple, FORD honors your factory warranty and has the 3yr/36K mile on the blower/install as well. To keep the warranty FORD stipulates it must be installed by a FORD dealer or any ASE certified tech-

As far as longevity? Well, like anything, you do your normal maint and don't beat on the truck constantly, it will last just fine-

I'm guessing you don't know there's plenty of 21+ f150s that make north of 1000whp on stock internals? They're lighter than hellcats (remove the spare tire & tow hitch) & can be 4x4. They would absolutely wax a c8 z06 badly; especially on the street.

Nobody is running 8s or 9s by simply slapping on a '$5000" blower. I'm curious what the real cost is of getting an F150 into the 10's.

I wish there was a good blower for 5k ?

But it's absolutely not 5k. This is a pricey example but Palm Beach Dyno makes a turnkey kit for 1000hp (900whp on e85, less on 93) with a whipple & that'll get you in the 9s; $30k installed. https://www.pbdyno.com/pbd-packages...packages/palm-beach-dyno-f-1000-f-150-package (there's more info and examples on their FB page, their site is behind on the details).

This includes a built transmission, circle d converter, etc & they sell a hellion twin turbo option as well. It's all dubbed f-1000 kit by them.

But that's all on stock internals and relatively cheap for a modern vehicle that can hook on the street with that power. It's a great grudge car to catch people off guard.

For 8s? Whew.
