Is that a dealer added bed cover?Well, a lot of you watched my failed effort to get a 2024 KR built by Ford. After nine months of waiting and still not scheduled as of Thursday, I took a deal from Long McArthur Ford out of Salina, KS - home of Ford Video Guy, Tim Bartz. I have bought from Granger on a special order before and I have bought probably 10+ cars/trucks off lots. The folks at Long McArthur are a lot like the folks at Granger. Pretty much no BS. I got the deal done online and I was at the dealership about 20 minutes.
It is an early Job 2 build, so it has the PAT delete (63x). I have made my peace with it as the only real reason I wanted the PAT was because I felt that 2024s without it would be considered lesser since most would have it. I am now of the belief that the vast majority of 2024 KR and Plats will not have the PAT. Couple that with the reality that my order was not going to built and delivered until likely October, I realized that after my summer driving season, my trade equity was about to go straight into the crapper. In fact, in Texas it already did. My 2022 Platinum was getting offered around $44-$46k all around town. Apparently, there is a dearth of high trimmed used F-150s in Kansas. The Long McArhur team got me $50k for my trade.
So I pulled the trigger and cancelled my order. No complaints with the guys at Granger. They did nothing wrong. They can only sell what Ford will build.
So here is the initial pics - unsullied by my mods that are forthcoming:
