Welcome lights randomly going off

Hi there, recently purchased a 2021 f150 XLT with a 5.0L. Love the truck, but my welcome lights are randomly going off. So much so that my battery is dead within a day. I have turned off the welcome light setting in my entertainment system, and I’ve also turned off my Auto Unlock feature. Only my exterior lights turn on. There is no pattern at all. One moment they’ll be a 5min delay then the next 2mins. Any help would be appreciated

Did you replace your battery? I didn’t have your exact issue but I had issues with my welcome lights not working and it was the battery. Got it replaced under warranty but you’ll see others on here who upgraded to an H7 or H8. Bad or low batteries seem to cause issues with these trucks.

Start with new good battery. I went with a H7 upgrade. Too much draw on these trucks. I also changed SOC to 95% with forscan. I believe there was an update that changed that too. Reset BMS when new battery or truck thinks it’s a bad dead.

Just did a battery load test. The test shows a good battery. Not weak, right where it should be.

Did you measure battery after 30 min of truck shut down? Should be around 12.4. I was at 12.1.

There’s a thread on her for vin look up. Have them run your vin to make sure no updates are behind.

Just did a battery load test. The test shows a good battery. Not weak, right where it should be.

I’ll note my battery passed the battery test at the dealership but they admitted they’ve seen them pass and show good but actually be bad. No issues since replacing.

I replaced the box cargo light switch. When I was pressing it before, the cargo lights wouldn’t come on. Now with the new one installed, the lights turn on when I press the switch, and so far I have no random lights turning on like before. I’ve waited outside the truck for 15mins after install. Will update again if it comes back.

I know this thread is a little old but my 2021 f150 lights are randomly going on and off. It’s affecting the side mirrors and all bed lights and white tailgate light. Did replacing the bed light switch solve this problem?

I have a 22 F150 ECO-BOOST that is doing the same thing, The Truck was dead this morning.
