Waterproofing Electronic under the undercarriage?

I am wondering if Ford waterproofs their electronic/electrical fitting and clamps under the PowerBoost truck? I am planning to go 4 wheeling my truck in the dirt and mud soon, maybe through some creek beds too. What would happen if I go through 3 to 4 feet deep water, will my truck die because the rear battery was submerged in water? Will I get shocked? lol My truck stock height.

I just read that this guy ran his truck going through a car wash that sprays the undercarriage and causes a lot of electric error on the dash. Ford dealership told him not to use the undercarriage spray when going through the car wash. WTH, will this cause a short if I go through a bunch of puddles of water too? I would not be a happy camper if all it took to short out something so easy!

What are your thoughts on this?

If the under carriage spray at a car wash causes problems then these trucks are going to have some huge recall or class action type things going on in the near future... If you've driven in any decent rain storm and looked under the vehicle you'd see the under carriage gets soaked.

I wouldn't submerge the truck for an extended period of time but it should be fine to go through a couple average sized mud puddles. 3-4 feet is excessive, I wouldn't take any half-ton truck through that unless it was an old off road toy.

I was curious about this as well. I have taken my PB off-road twice but did not cross any significant water. Only some pretty mild forest service roads. I did take it through the under carriage wash after both times and had no issue.

I would guess that fording water that deep is going to end in a ruined truck:

mat a min you would want to change out the rear diff oil as I don’t think these have a diff breather.

If it didn't have a breather wouldn't it blow out seals?
