Warm weather in the southeast

Here's a pix I snapped off my dash temp as I left work today in Columbia, SC. Does anyone know what the max temp that the sensor will display is?

Mine has hit that a few times but only when it's been sitting in the sun for a few hours. Causes the cooling fans to spin up to max when it does show above 100 F even though the actual air temp is usually 5-9 degrees cooler.

Pretty sure the hard limit is 120 F / 54 C for this sensor display.

The outside ambient temperature sensor is located in/under the driver's side view mirror. At the low end I've seen -5⁰ f on cold winter mornings. On the high-end I've seen up to 113⁰ f
