My truck is coming in any day now, a supercrew XL with vinyl floors. I have never had vinyl floors on a vehicle, but I am constantly at the beach and with my last vehicle getting moldy and musty and dirty after a few years here in FL, I figured vinyl is the better choice so I left it. If it sucks I can always do the carpet aftermarket. I am curious how you all like the vinyl floors? My one concern was that they would smell like toxic rubber... I hate that smell of new tires, triggers my asthma. Hopefully this one is OK.

I had vinyl floors in my last f150. Had that truck for 11 years and never used floor mats over the vinyl. When I sold it the floors still looked great. I had no rubber smell. I also hate the smell of new tires and there was none of that in the truck. That was a 2010 truck so don’t know of the vinyl is different in 2022 trucks. I’m in Florida too and the floors were wet often and no musty smell.

Just what I wanted to hear. Yep, every single older vehicle we have is musty and gross. I went no sunroof, tried to keep this as leak proof and mold proof as possible. Can't wait to get it to the beach and just hop in with sandy feet and blow out the truck with an air compressor.

All my trucks have been and will be vinyl floors. Carpet has no business in a truck.

So much easier to get the mud, saw dust, rocks, dirt, hair, blood, etc out of it. I do use tray style matts on top to keep depris from migrating under the seats. But that is just redundancy on my part.

Just dont armor all them. Lol.

I guess I’m going against the grain here. My XL was built last week and carpet was one of the options I picked. Let’s all meet back in 5 years and compare notes.?

My XL (STX BAP) is on a train in Tennessee today, on its way to me. I'm also in FL and ordered with vinyl floors for all the same reasons as you. I hope they don't stink, but I've never had that previously. We yanked the carpet out of our Jeep Wrangler and replaced with Bedrug's vinyl flooring and are VERY happy with it too.

Love vinyl floors and had it in my last 2 trucks. Any kind of armorall type spray will shine them up like new. I had to do this because I live in the snow belt with all the salt. Ford vinyl always seemed more durable to me than gm

I used my leaf blower. Cleans the inside up quickly. Just make sure you don’t have any loose stuff inside.

im with you on the carpet.
All of my pickups since the 70s HAD vinyl flooring. Carpet promptly installed.
My 98 Cheyenne is (was) a base truck with only 5.7/AC/tilt/cruise.
Put carpet and cloth seats in it shortly after rescuing from life as a pasture truck.
Now has a complete Silverado interior with buckets/PW/PL/overhead console. Even added the leather steering wheel.

I'm odd in that I wanted vinyl floors, a column shifter, center console, and unpainted door handles. The XL (mine has the STX appearance package) is perfect for my needs/wants.

Got the truck. The vinyl looks great. Cleans up really well with some mild APC. Beach sand came off with a quick brush, I bet an air compressor or leaf blower would be instantly clean. No noticeable smell, in fact I think the majority of the off gassing new car smell is coming from the foam in the seats, the plastics and headliner, not the vinyl floor.

I’ve had my STX w vinyl for 8 months and the smell is gone or I’m too use to it to notice.
