Ok guys…let’s bring this back up. Who else has solved their vibration issue? I have had a vibration above 65 MPH since I did the Ridetech 3/5 drop. I have tried every pinion angle combination to no avail. I’ve even strapped a GoPro under the truck to watch pinion angle during driving. It doesn’t appear to be pinion related…but I don’t know what else it could be. I have had the truck aligned, tires are the same before the drop kit.

Has anyone measured their pinion angle that doesn’t have the vibration?? I’d be interested to know what your pinion angle ended up being.
With my truck, most of the vibration came from an extremely unbalance rear wheel. Once I fixed that, I adjusted my pinion angle with a 2.5* shim, thick side facing front of truck. So far, this morning's drive was as smooth as it was when I drove it off the lot. Here's a link to my thread for additional information on my IHC installation and different adjustments I have made over the last two weeks. I hope this information helps with your issues.

I'm coming back to this to give my updates regarding Road Force Balancing. I had vibrations that I thought were finally resolved with getting the road force balance but it would keep coming back. So then I got another set of tires and rims, stock were the Limited 22in on Generals and I went to 18" Michelin Defenders. Still had vibrations and suspected it was drive train issues.

Took the truck to the dealership with the intentions of leaving it there until they figured out why and if not would sell. The tech balanced my aftermarket tires then asked for me to bring up the stocks. This guy saved my damn life. HE FOUND A TIRE IN EACH SET WITH A HARD SPOT.

I went and got my new tire replaced under warranty, which was a whole another ordeal. Discount Tire said they needed to balance the bad tire for their checks for warranty, they came back saying it was 2oz off and good. Now this wheel had been balanced 3 times in one week. Once before I made a long trip. Then at the dealership, and finally at Discount Tire. They told me it was good. Thankfully another manager heard my entire ordeal and gave me the warranty.

I went out and drove. It was on SKATES! Finally, this truck drove like it should. This shows that even if someone can Road Force Balance a tire, they may have no idea what to look of. I came back to the Discount Tire to shake this man's hand and tell him it was it right after driving it.

For everyone here, it could very easily be this issue with your truck. Hopefully you can find someone that's competent enough to Road Force Balance your wheels. I actually enjoy driving the truck finally.

I worked at a Ford dealership 20 years ago and made good money doing warranty road force balances on the new at the time 2004 F150s. It was a near daily thing for a while. Thankfully, I had a good manager who cared about customers and cared to teach me the proper way to do things.

Fast forward to now, I have a new F150 with an obvious vibration at highway speeds. When I called several area dealers asking about warranty tire balances (covered 12/12), they all acted like I was speaking a foreign language.

My local Ford Quick Lane screwed up all 4 of my Mustang wheels a few years back, because they used a universal cone adapter that mated against the wheel face, instead of a lug adapter, to balance the wheels. Even though I asked them prior to service to be sure to use the lug adapter, which they stated they would. At least they owned up to it and offered to replace the wheels.

Bananas.

All that to say, I'd trust Discount Tire more than I'd trust a greenhorn grease monkey at a Ford dealer, in this day and age. My local Discount has been nothing but great for all my tire needs, as well as many of my friends.

Glad to hear you were able to get things resolved and didn't end up with tire failure.

Same rear I believe that's in our as well, do you have the electric locking read as well?

Agree with you regarding sound / cycling sound. Would be crazy if its the trans some how but no mustangs with 10 speeds mention similar issues. Unless our torque convertors are different than the mustangs.

If I had all the money in the world I'd have an S550 irs fitted to the frame lol
F150 torque converters are indeed different than Mustangs.

Each engine choice gets a different converter, and even if you compare 5.0 Mustang converter to 5.0 F150 converter, they are different. I've talked with the OEM torque converter manufacturer and he said the 5.0 F150 converters were among the most "tricky", because they have to also have the ability to absorb increased NVH from the cylinder deactivation system.
