Sometimes when i start my vehicle up the left side speakers does not have any audio. Then i turn the vehicle off and restart and audio comes back. I haven't talk to the dealer yet.
Same. I've also noticed that when using Pandora and Waze/Apple Maps/Google Maps, that some of voice directions come only through the driver's side A-pillar speaker, while some others come through all speakers. Its a minor annoyance that doesn't impact my enjoyment of the vehicle, but its weird.

Technology. Ain't it grand?

What audio source are you using? Apple Music, Spotify, or something else.
Apple Music with full lossless will do this sometimes for me since it uses a lot of data, but not Spotify, etc.
99.9% of the time I'm using either Apple Music or Apple Podcasts. I'll have to test out with some other audio sources / settings to see if I notice any change in the behavior.

Interesting. I can't say I've experienced anything like that, although I have noticed that lately, Siri has been reverting to a default "robot" voice instead of her normal one. It hasn't affected me enough to even look into why lol.

Side note regarding my original post: I've recently concluded that (as many have suggested) the issue is definitely with my phone and not the Sync system or the connection between the two. My daughter recently purchased a new car, and I found it interesting that the audio change was occurring at the same locations when I was driving it. When I mentioned it to her, she said it never happens for her and I confirmed this just out of curiosity.

Just for kicks, I added her (and subsequently, my wife's) phone to my truck and neither had any issues at all at any of the known problem areas. Both phones are newer than mine, but only by 1 generation; I strongly suspect the explanation lies in the fact that I have a different carrier than the rest of my family (work phone).

So there's that...

I came here to post about my Carplay issue and it's the same one you're having. I use Overcast for Podcasts and Spotify for music and have the same audio pause, then it starts again with lower volume and a tinny sound.

I haven't noticed if it always happens at the same location, but I'm going to pay more attention now. It usually happens shortly after starting to drive, so it might be at the same place each time.

I was using this same phone on my last vehicle with Carplay and never had this issue, but it was wired Carplay. I haven't tested anyone else's phone on my truck, but I'm on an iPhone 14 with the latest version of iOS installed.

I have no idea where the thread is but there are interferences with the truck's wifi, that's why yours cuts out at certain areas. When I got my truck there were 2 spots around town that would disconnect Carplay, but with all the construction there are more and more. Plugging in the phone and playing downloaded stuff stops it, it's usually not worth it if I'm only going to drive passed one disconnect.

It seems after getting all of the available updates applied for Blue Cruise seems to have resolved my CarPlay disconnect issues. It been over a month now and I drive the same roads daily no more random disconnects.

Hey there! I can look into your F-150's CarPlay concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a message with your VIN and dealership info?

Revisiting this thread...

2021 F150 PB, CarPlay cuts in and out randomly and most notably makes a terrible feedback noise when coming to a stop. Happens basically every time I drive. I have tried pairing other phones to make sure it wasn't something funny with mine in particular and it still happened. Does not happen with FM radio playing. Anyone find a solution??
