I read in some vehicles you can lower your windows by pressing the OPEN button on the fob then pressing again for 1o seconds. Then after the window is partially down you can lower it further by pressing again. It does not work on my truck. Has anyone tried this?

You can program your fob to do it...I believe using forscan. I have used forscan and seen the feature in the forscan thread but have not tried myself.

It is available to change in forscan. It's called global windows. Ignore the green highlight, it was on my list of mods to make.

I hope this can't be used to steal vehicles.

This feature came stock in my very entry level GMC Sierra truck in 2020 that I got rid off. Ford can easily add it...I don't know why they don't. 20 years ago, Honda Odyssey minivan could do this with the ignition key in the driver's door. Sigh.

Wife's Bronco Sport can do it....

The key in the door thing? My '03 Accord did that. As did my Jaguar.... which was an '88......

In the Jag if you kept holding the key after the windows rolled down, the sunroof would open.
Can't recall if my Accord did the sunroof thing too.

I did and love this but on my 2022 Lariat SuperCab it only works on the front door windows.

Interesting that to unlock and open windows it requires the 'double tap' as described in the spreadsheet, but a single push-and-hold will both lock the doors and close the windows (avoiding the confirming horn beep).

Yep; I added it last weekend to my XLT via this forscan change. Nice feature!

I just did this on my 22 lariat. It didn’t work! I double checked my values. They all looked good. Sad.

Couple of things:
1. You can try rebooting each changed module in Service Procedures
2. When you hit "unlock", wait a second before holding "unlock" down. It needs a good 5 seconds hold down sometimes. It usually doesn't recognise a quick double-tap+hold.

Thank you! I will try and reboot those 3 modules tomorrow and then try the open/close sequence as you stated!

Thank you ?... estimating enough time to skip over the honk but still wind the windows up is annoying.

18-20s would roll all 4 windows down. 21 and up will only roll the front driver and passenger windows.

Ignore my original question here, it was goofy.
What do the “—“ mean in the FORScan spreadsheet? I know X means ignore, and a value means change. What’s a dash?

If you enable “global open” and “global close” in the natural language configuration of BCM, do you need to manually touch the DDM and PCM modules still?
Similarly if you go the optional route of enabling the global open/close to Sync settings via APIM, do you not have to do any of the other settings?
They all need to be done except for the option to have the setting in your SYNC settings. If the setting is available in all of the relevant modules (BCM, DDM, PDM and APIM) in "easy mode", it should work from changing all of them. This is because when you use either easy or advanced editing, you are going into each module separately. It won't auto-magically change all the others by doing only one of them.
