USB error and Code_0

Hi all,

I am not sure if this is a real issue or not, so I figured I would ask this group if anyone else has seen this. I recently had the Sync software re-installed and now I am getting this whenever I turn my truck on. I usually have a charging cable installed but this error shows regardless of if I have anything plugged into USB ports or not.

When I push the "USB error..." it shows the following pop up. I am a bit concerned about the message that the update cannot continue because an error occurred. Hoping that doesn't mean that OTA updates are failing?

I cannot find that code_0 error out there, but did find this thread that I will have to try. However, since I seem to get this error regardless of if I have anything plugged in or not, I wonder if it is already messed up because I had a charger plugged in?

Means they pulled the USB too soon or the USB update was bad. Send me your vin. Ill see but you can dismiss it I believe if you touch it and select ok.

Thanks. I do dismiss it, but it comes back every time I turn the truck on. More of an annoyance, but really wanted to make sure it doesn't cause an issue longer term for me on updates. I will send you my VIN in a few minutes.

same thing happened to me, I'm actually optimistic because it means it tried to update.

I just got a newer usb drive and re-copied the update files onto it and plugged it into the truck.

let me know if you solved it on your end.

Great, so did it install the update with the new USB?

since I have put in the new usb I no longer get the error but no update yet (it’s only a day)

I believe so, although I don't know how to be sure it is the most recent update. Are you talking about the Sync version or one of the others?

Mine was stuck back at the 1.7x update I think or something like that, I’m looking to have the ability to see carplay on gauge screen and use bed camera while driving
