Hey all, just picked up my truck and we can't get the USB ports to recognize any device plugged into it, two Samsung phones and two IPods and no joy.
Are the '22's strictly bluetooth with not cable connectivity. The salesman wasn't sure, the owners manual explains how to select USB as the source but it doesn't work. Does this work for anyone else???

Which USB are you trying to plug in to? As far as I know, only the USB A and USB C ports under the radio directly in front of the shifter (if you have console shifter) are data ports. The others are just for charging. My last car was the same, only one set were data ports

We tried all of them ( under infotainment center, console and the back seat)

try a different cable.. I have found that wired AA/Carplay doesn't work with some cables, but does with others. Wireless android auto only works with Android 11+, not sure about carplay versions.

Some versions of Android need to have the android auto app installed from the play store as well.

If the phone is not charging when connected, check for loose fuses

Only the usb under the screen will activate apple car play. As others said, I found the usb in the center console to charge only. I would have preferred that one to hide the cord

Not to highjack the thread, didn’t really want to make another one. Is the wireless charger borderline worthless for anyone else? Charges so slow. Think I got 5% in 45 minutes.

I find that it has a hard time keeping up with the charge when I travel with music and maps on Android Auto. I usually loss about 10% an hour. I have a Samsung S22.

With my pixel 6 pro the wired USB charging can't keep up when I'm using AA and gps. It's really sad. The wireless is next to useless in that scenario for me.
