URGENT HELP NEEDED*

Long story short, the horn on my truck was going off by itself in my damn driveway. I jumped in the truck and tried everything to stop it. The last resort was popping the hood open and disconnecting the battery.

but HOLY F*CK can someone PLEASE TELL ME why the hell my horn was going off on its own!?!?!?!

There was some update a while back and after that update I had the horn alarm go off on its own twice. Both times it was with the key fob in proximity of the truck. Whether it was the update or not I do not know but I never had that happen before. I then had another OTA update and it has not happened again.

Whether there is a connection to the key or not IDK. Try keeping the key in a Faraday pouch or box when not in use and that might sever any key related activation. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Without knowing more it could be anything, did you check to see if it was the alarm from someone messing with it?

definitely not alarm because it was pure horn going off. no flashing lights and etc.

This happened on a Dodge we had. It was traced to a short in the key fob. Don’t write off Ford based on just this.

it is a definitely a Ford issue.. it may not be COMMON but definitely nothing on my end caused it. i have owned other vehicles and put miles on them, never have i experienced anything f*cking crazy as what my F150 had done last night.

Same here. My truck is still sitting at the dealership over 170 days now broken and they don't know how to fix it and Ford won't buy it back and replace it. I will never buy another Ford product.
