pretty sure the caliper mount for the max tow axle has three bolts, standard axle has two bolts. Can you explain how they got around that? Am I wrong? Does the max tow bracket only have two as well?

If anyone has specific questions about upgrading from 336mm rear brakes to the heavy-duty 350mm rear brakes, I'm happy to answer any questions you have. This upgrade is only a direct bolt on for trucks that have the medium duty 336mm rear brakes (9.75" rear axle).

Trucks with the light-duty 336mm rear brakes (Super 8.8" rear axle) would at minimum need custom caliper brackets to keep the Super 8.8" rear axle and I'm not aware of anyone who has done this.

Overall this upgrade only increases the swept area of the rear brakes by 4.875% so you should not expect to see a massive difference in braking performance under normal conditions. My goal with this swap was to keep my rear brake temperatures more reasonable by installing larger 350mm x 24mm rear rotors which should act as a better heatsink than the stock 336mm x 20mm rear rotors.

At this point in time I have not made any forscan changes and I do notice the rear brakes grabbing a bit harder than the stock brakes did, but the difference is probably too small for the average person to notice it.
