The steering column control module? What the?Yes there’s photos and everything. It’s 25 pages total. He gets illumination from the SCCM somehow. There’s a whole harness for it.
Yes. I’m not exactly sure why that is but that’s what the instructions show. The steering column control module? What the?
Can someone post the instructions?
The illumination wire is Violet with a gray tracer. You should be able to find that wire on the dome light connector. I don't have a pin out of that connector to be more clear but hopefully someone else will chime in.WOW ? That’s a lot of work to make it look as close to factory as possible ?Hats ? off to you gentlemen that are about to undergo this project . I salute you ?? I personally just need the switches to work as intended ?
I’m having the damnedest time trying to find the pin out diagram for the front map dome lights ? to get illumination to the switches. The sad thing about it is I probably have the information that I’ve collected but don’t know how exactly to read it ?
Any one know how to make heads or tails of this chart ??? ? I just need to know which wire to tap into for illumination ? From what I can tell it’s the YELLOW/GRAY wire can any confirm Picture’s and advise speak ? volumes to a Stone Mason like myself ?

If I am following this correctly, he is tapping the BCM to get fused switched power. The SCCM is apparently just an easier way tap into illumination. After reading the install instructions, I'm a little confused why the SCCM is involved at all. The last step is to pin into one of the BCM connectors to get the illumination power so why didn't he just skip the SCCM altogether? Is it to keep in the oem spirit of how it's done in the Tremors and Raptors?
The switches are fused at the relay/fuse box mounted in the engine bay. My guess is he's grounding the harness there (the sccm) because I don't remember anything in the directions talking about grounding the harness at the a-pillar like he did for the previous generation trucks. If I am following this correctly, he is tapping the BCM to get fused switched power. my ditch lights actually route through the passenger fire wall which was an absolute PAIN to get through. I had to take a wire fisher and by some luck of god went up through the passenger floor board and somehow popped out of 1 inch wide hole at the top of the firewall. Not a single chance in the world it would happen again ? the grommet in front of the passenger seat under the carpet is a MUCH easier route than this. Seems like it would work for the Upfitter harness as it actually shortens the length of the route he has in the instructions can’t see why it wouldn’t work unless someone else can see something I can’tGoing to attempt install tomorrow. I’ve taken all the routes he takes with this harness before installing my ditch lights. The only one I have no experience with is the sccm. Hopefully will go smooth. Will let you guys know. Also I might try a different route for the under the passenger seat. There is a small rubber grommet in front of the passenger seat that does not require completely removing it. I routed my subwoofer wires through this grommet. Just requires pulling up the carpet a bit. My subwoofer wires go through this little grommet. Along the frame. And right above the passenger wheel well liner. Exact route he takes but a little closer and doesn’t require removing the seat. Will see how this works. This grommet is also rubber and doesn’t require drilling. I just slit it with a knife when I routed the subwoofer wires
