So I just got a set of 18x9 707s. I really like copper wheels, so I'm planning to plasti-dip them.

Now I'm waiting for tires. Just ordered 305/65R18/F KO3s from Costco. Tried to get America's tire to price match and, although they'd match the price itself, they wouldn't give me the warranty that's equivalent to what Costco gives with the price of the tire. I'd have to buy the "Certificates" for +$300.

Looking at 0 offset 17 wheels, for more sidewall. 285/75/17. I would check out JBA uca's, they specify
backspace at 4.75 inches for for clearance with a 285/70/17. That calculates to zero offset.
There is a picture here on the forum of someone who mounted 285/75/17's on stock steel rims and they did fit, but I imagine rubbing somewhere could be an issue.

Got the MR707s mounted with the 305/65R18F KO3s.

Even though I've got a 2.5" lift in the front, I needed to do some minor trimming of the air dam to keep tires from rubbing as they turned in.

Coated the rims with bronze HyperDip (PlastiDip). I think it's an improvement over the matte black.

Also, noticing some more rubbing on the rear crash bars at full lock and when suspension is compressed. Not going to remove the crash bars over this, but might try to bend them back a bit.

Any rubbing with that setup? Do you think a set of mud flaps up front would clear? Thanks
These are the et25 version as I was looking for a wheel close to raptor specs and didn't want the et0 poke. I installed Ford mudflaps after that pic was taken and they rub slightly when turning/backing up out of my driveway every morning. I am sure with some trimming this could be solved, but its no minor it doesnt bother me.

I debated over the 17 vs 18 issue for a couple weeks. I have the max tow and decided that running a 0 offset wasn't worth it to me. I don't mind having a little extra poke......but that caliper clearance picture I saw, was just too damn close. I went with 18x9 +18 KMC 722 with 295/70/18 Mickey Thompson Baja EXP. I didn't really want a load range E tire, but this tire is lighter than most of the others in that size/load range. They should be delivered tomorrow, so I'll post some pics to show off the bronze wheels on my Kodiak brown pickup.

Do you have any pics showing how close the tire gets from hitting the front frame rail when you’re hard over. I have the fox 2.5’s with reservoirs and trying to get an idea on how close the tire would get to the hitting the hose or reservoir. Thanks
