Took my truck in for it's second oil change yesterday, and the brakes are wearing unevenly.

The front driver's is at 3-4 mm; the rest are at 10. The truck is about to hit 15k miles, maybe 300 miles of towing in it's life. Not driven hard.

Anyone had a similar issue on a powerboost? I know the answer is generally an incorrectly installed pad or bad caliper; But I wasn't sure if the regenerative braking was creating issues.

Taking it back in a couple weeks once I can get a rental.

Most of the time this problem is caused by a bad caliper or an installation issue.

Regen braking is rears only (unless in 4WD).

Do you drive interstate highways alot? If you do, when you exit it is usually a right turn with a slowdown from speed. That puts more of the stopping load on the drivers side front wheel.

Not any unusual amount. Probably fairly even split between city/local & highway miles; when I'm on the highway it's not a lot of getting on/off rapidly.

Thanks, hopefully that simple then.

K, probably then a caliper problem. Would think you have a stuck piston...
Easy enough fix at least, I'll see what happens in a couple weeks. Thanks guys

I would have the dealer check the pistons and the rotors. I had warped rotors at only 22K miles with a Chevy Tahoe and 90% of my miles were on the freeway. Replaced them later with after market rotors that were far superior to the factory ones. I put another 130K miles on the vehicle with no brake problems of any kind.

The initial brake break-in period is important and if someone ignores it they are going to have problems of their own creation.
