I am looking for a locking, removable tonneau cover for a '21 with a 5.5 bed. I am considering the Undercover Armorflex but it's warrantied for only 5 years. I was pretty set on it until someone pointed out the Line-X has their LXP with a limited lifetime warranty. Is Undercover still the better route than the rebadged BAK?

Thank you

It's locking, 3 year warranty, available with "Line-X" type coating, low profile, doesn't have the ugly exposed large rubber weather stripping, VERY easy to fold, remove and install. It's no Diamondback for sure, but gets the job done for much less money.

I have an Undercover Armorflex on my truck and I love it. But... and this is a HUGE BUT... do NOT believe anyone when they say that they are secure if you have a locking tailgate. If there is no locking mechanism on the cover itself then they are not very secure. I was able to slide a coat hanger between the tailgate and the cover, hook the cable and open the cover in about 10 seconds... the very first time I tried.

I used some marine weatherstripping from Home Depot to block access to the cable, but someone could get right by it with an old slim jim.

The reason I chose the Undercover one is that it does not lean against the cab of the truck when all the way open. However, it does block the bed camera when it's open.

I'd be happy to answer any questions you might have about the Undercover... I really like it and would buy it again.

I have the Bakflip MX4, and when fully open it leans against the window. I can see the bed using the camera, and side mirrors help. The cover has rubber bumpers so both window and cover are protected. It’s a primary reason why I chose it over the Undercover. However, if security is a critical factor I‘d go with a retractable locking cover (which has its own pluses and minuses). I had a Retraxpro MX but it did a poor job of stopping moisture from entering the bed. Great cover, except for this one issue (which was important for me).
