New Hampshire Oil Undercoating. That product needs annual reapplication like woolwax or fluid film. Can go over rust. Bosswax is their product for new cars, supposedly cleaner and less maintenance needed where you may get exterior rust... They can also spray oil in the cavities where it won't wear away...I have someone quoting $400 for NHOU. Anyone knows what this is?
How much was it?Lived in the Poconos for 15 years and we had all of our vehicles Krowned every other year. It’s $160 and they do inside the bed, door, rear bulkhead and throughout the entire frame in addition to the entire undercarriage. Mechanicsburg PA would be a bit of a hike for you but well worth it, that particular Krown (line-x/krown) shop is fantastic and would be worth the drive.
You’ll make well more than your money back on the investment come resale or trade-in time. People will not believe it’s a tri-state truck if you Krown early and every 2 years.
Now we’re in KY, no Krown shops here so I shot fluid film when I brought my 23’ home. Got a cheap $30 bedliner sprayer with 360 wand for the frame cavities etc. It likes about 85 psi. I like Krown better but this fluid film is available darn near everywhere.
Here is a post after getting it down on our Golf R years back. The undercarriage still looks incredible.

I have a pressure washer. How would that address the undercarriage?Or you could use the coin operated car wash to clean any road salt off the body interior and exterior and from the frame and wheels. Or buy one of the electric pressure washers for home use.
I have been researching this top alot because I had my current 2015 Silverado show horrible surface rust after 4 1/2 years. I live in Minnesota and yes I washed this truck litterly every two days. I have a unlimited was 3 minutes from my house. The wash included the undercarriage. DO NOT RELY ON WASHING ALONE! I will be picking up my new Ford Tremor next weekend and I will definitely be applying Woolwax immediately. I heard great things about Fluid Film also. Without a doubt spray those panels and doors if you can get in there. Do it! I dont care what brand vehicle you buy undercoat it with one of those products.I have a new F150 XLT 2024. Is undercoating necessary? I live in NJ where window tinting is not allowed by the book but so many people do it. Is it worthwhile getting it done or is there more chance of getting pulled over?
You are correct do not wash the undercarriage once you apply the undercoating. I forgot to mention that.I once knew a professional detailer who swore by and also charged a service to wash undercarriages.
In the Spring, he would hoist the vehicle and do a thorough cleaning. Claims he's done it for years with success.
My opinion, rustproof with the products noted above on a yearly basis. Don't do the undercarriage washes through the automatic places or even coin wash.
Rustproof, don't wash underneath and you'll be fine for years.
I did a search in Google maps - something like Woolwax uncoating near my city. Then, I called around to 3 or 4 places until I found a person that did it. Woolwax also has an "Undercoater / Dealer Locator" on their website. Below is a link to the locator:Who do you go to?
