Unable to program HomeLink with gate opener

Tried step by step repeatedly with no results. I got it to work on my previous vehicles. Any suggestions?

I don't think so.....my openers are 16 years old and it programed. I added it to my XLT.

Don't follow Fords directions...I think..I use Homelinks direction off the internet. Sears and Chamberlin openers

I guess I’ll have to do the same. Strange how I had no problem programming my 2021 F250. Oh well

My openers are 23 years old, which is why I thought that could be the reason. Using the Homelink instructions instead of Ford's is a great idea!

Do some searching on here—someone described the process to set it up back a year or two ago. I do remember that the process described in the manual isn’t 100% correct. If memory serves, the manual gives you a couple options to go about it, when in reality you need to do both options for it to actually take.

Ford directions did not work for me either. I used Homelink instructions on YouTube and got it programmed

Years ago, I couldn't get an opener to program with Homelink. The issue was on the opener's side; it had too many remotes/Homelinks programmed to it. I performed a "factory reset" on the opener and voila!

It may be worth checking yours to see if there's max number of remotes it allows.

It doesn't matter which instructions I use, my 2024 will not link to my garage door opener. Will have to reset and try again, skiteton.

My 21 Lariat will not work with my Overhead Odessy 1000 openers. I've tried every option. Erase all codes, handheld transmitter then learn on opener. Nothing works. My wife's kia took 2 minutes and worked on the first attempt. Maybe mine doesn't actually transmit and I need to check or replace something.

Follow the directions on Homelink.s web site to program....Ford doesn't seem to work. I added Homelink to my truck and use their directions to get it working.

No issues with chamberlin wall mounted opener connecting to homelink.
