Having said that, there's no indication it's going to stall. Hopefully zips right through. I'd like to see less than 8" of rain on the south side of the big city please.

8" of rain is fine with me! Everyone is gun shy around this area now after the 5+ feet of rain from Harvey.

Well I certainly underestimated this one. It ended up far more east than what I thought folks were predicting. Literally bullseye'd me. And knocked down 4 big trees and pruned another 20. It's a mess!

2 of them fell across my road and I can't get my truck to the RV. So the Powerboost doesn't do me a lick of good at my place. ?

I hauled out my fridge contents and took it to my son in laws. He is happy to have it because it came with a generator. ?

Chain saw party tomorrow, hopefully. I got a feeling it could be several days before power returns.

Yikes.. I've been through a hurricane or two - they can either do nothing, or a lot of damage. In 2004 when Charley hit Florida, I had probably 20 big pine trees down around my house and no power for about two weeks.

Hopefully that's the worst of it for you and you get some good usable wood out of the deal at least.

My cousin in Montgomery (more-or-less halfway between @Snakebitten and @powerboatr) had heavy rain, 50MPH gusts, and no power when we last spoke at 7AM this morning.

Power thing is weird
I was talking to baby sister around 4 am, then around 8 and her power flickered
And lost internet

It's a fickle thing.

Snakebitten will have us another good PB saves a family story.
Ford misses the boat on advertising
They could give generac a run for thier money. An emergency generator thst seats 5 or 6, carries saws snd chains and pulls trailer with tractor

my truck no longer works as of right now. truck will shut off 5-10 seconds after starting up. what a f*cking piece of sh*t. i hope it’s something minor and not no damn electrical gremlin that will require a dealership visit.

Wind is horrible 38 mph gusts. Sound nasty coming from north with a hint of east.
