The ford pass app is what saved me on a nightmare. Dealership essentially took my truck for multiple joyrides. Service tech used it over the weekend, and then they returned it to me saying no issues and it never left the lot. Showed them the MULTIPLE screen shots of the door being opened, GPS parked positions, and mileage before and after. Presented them with photos, and my attorneys business card. Within minutes they initiated a buy back and allocated me a new 2022.
A 22 so you can start the nightmare all over? Have they fixed the transmission issues in the 22?

lol same nightmare just different color. But I will say this one in 10x better. No shudder. Only issues I have with it which I’m starting to realize is normal is the idle “vibe”. Like I said in another thread though, there’s no stock trucks anywhere so this will be used as a tool. And for 35,999 miles it’s ford’s problem. Unless I find what I want sooner. Every TRD off-road 4Runner within almost 1,000 miles of me is sold already.

I had 57 alerts about my front camera. Brought to the dealer (who fixed the camera after 3 visits and a settlement with Ford) they said "their computer didn't show an errors" I pulled out my phone and scrolled and scrolled and scrolled, they go sorry nothing we can do.

Talk to my new dealer Friday cause the truck was in for the recall and he told me there is nothing they can do about the shutter until ford gives them some guidance.

I have experienced all these issues on my '21 2.7EB Sport transmission shuddering, hard shifting, rough idle, random warning flashing in the dash when I open door Truck is almost useless on the highway now with 15000kms on it.
Nice to know that Ford isn't doing a thing about it. this will be the last Ford I own if they don't have a fix soon.

FROM BAD TO WORSE TODAY

Called the dealer and let them know my truck would be towed to them a week early with a new issue engine issue

Received a call back from the Service Advisor stating

(1) They could not provide a rental until the new issue is officially diagnosed
(2) They are so far behind on work that he couldnt give me a date when they can look at the engine issue to diagnose it....
(3) AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF- the appointment that I scheduled for 2/21/2022 to have the transmission looked at for a 3rd time can not be honored and will be another couple of weeks before they can look at it because they are too busy. (Really the 4th visit for the transmission because the first time they sent me away without looking at truck because they didnt have a tech and the truck didnt have 5k miles on it yet)

I am truly at a loss right now. I literally have a $65k piece of metal and rubber sitting in my driveway with no one to repair it...Lemon Law time ?? YEP
Where are you located? This sounds exactly like my dealer. I have a 2021 Lariat PB build first week of March 2021. Sat in the boneyard for 6 months. I have exactly the same shudder you have. It is at the dealer now and they claim Ford has not heard of this issue.

Truck update - finally synced up with the Service Manager last Monday 2/28/22

I brought my truck in, towed my small 17ft flats boat as requested. Took the Service Manager on a 10 mile round trip on the Interstate. He felt the shudder just as they had before. Notes on the work order from dealer state “ felt the shuddering at highway speeds around 9th and 10th gears could be in the Torque Converter or possible drive shaft issue”.

Dealership reached out to Ford engineer for the 2nd or 3rd time - still no response from Ford as of 3/11/22.

I sent official paperwork to Ford for final repair attempt this week and opened a Lemon Law case. All I wanted was to have the truck repaired so I could get on with day to day work and living without the constant back and forth searching for answers, trips to the dealer and having rental cars.Just have to see how this plays out from here.

Just picked my truck up from dealer service for the 4th time and there were 7 action items. One was this shuddering 9-10 at 60-65. Engineer response that it is common and normal on F150 10 speed transmission. Some of the other things are comical. Rear brake collision avoidance. I kid you not. The response was “Must remove trailer hitch”. They Printed a copy of the owners manual where is says add on items such as trailer hitches and bike racks are not allowed and may false braking. My key gives me a no key detected message randomly. They printed the owners manual that cell phones interfere with key communication. May need to keep phone out of cab. Several things were differed to future software updates. 1-3 harsh shifting. Generator giving ground fault message including while nothing is plugged in. I am like you. Just get the thing fixed it take it back.

Amazing isn’t it. Ford engineers have figured out a way to make a truck with built in vibrations and shaking. Problem is they forgot to tell their customers in all their disclaimers and even forgot to tell their authorized repair dealerships….GIVE ME A BREAK. None of my other F150s or my old Ranger had a built in vibration. Hmmmmm

Yeah, since I have 2-2015, 2-2016 and a 2019 SC Lariat F150's with the same 10 speed transmission and none of them have the issue.

Don't worry guys I'm sure that Ford Representative will be here soon to solve all the problems!

Hey guys, what if we have been looking at this in the wrong area?

A member from another forum did a write on this by pointing it in a different direction. Maybe some of you have seen it and some have not. This was a write up by Bluegrass on the f150forum.com

"Years ago I identified this kind of issue as being a faulty coil.
Here is the way it worked but is a bit complex to explain.
In higher gears above certain road speeds, EGR is commanded to open.
This adds exhaust gas back into the intake............Exhaust gas does not burn the second time but Leans out the air/fuel mixture for emissions improvement reasons.
Ignition timing is advanced as a result. Starting combustion earlier because the combustion process become faster.
Fuel is cut back. Improving fuel mileage and adding to Leanness.
The result is a very Lean air to fuel mixture over 20 to 1.
Under these conditions the mixture requires higher coil voltage to fire it.
If even one coil cannot provide that higher voltage, misfire occurs.
Under this special condition, no code is set because it's not a >hard< fault that comes and goes depending on driving conditions.
However: The misfire is recorded in another part of memory for each cylinder that it occurs in.
A tech needs to look at that mode 6 memory to see if there are any entries pointing to one or more cylinders that register over the acceptable limit set in program.
The cylinder/s may be suspect of having faulty coil/s and or boots.
Replacing spark plugs may fix the issue on a short time basis but the problem will come back as the plug tips erode and require more voltage to jump the gap due to the Lean mixture.
Another observation that may be helpful is to do a test drive with a Scanner attached and looking at ignition timing.
When the EGR is commanded to open, the ignition timing should advance a significant amount by design.
If misfires begin to occur the timing will go into retard as a result, to support the misfire. This adds to the feeling you get for drivability.
.
The above may or may not be your trouble but is worth a look at from this perspective.
You see how complex it can get and all the systems involved that affect the drivability and takes more than a simple look and thought.
The reason no code may be set is the misfire memory has no ability to set code because the program cancels the request if it in not in long enough to meet code set requirements,, so is cancelled.
Another thing that can happen is violent bucking from a faulty coil. When this happens the PCM can experience interference on the coil lead so much that program processing actually stops and starts for an instant then is picked up again.
The bucking feeling. It is picked up again because the Crank is still turning and Ignition is On, same as starting a motor would do.
.
The coil fault is shorted turns, not an open or a dead short that would become a hard fault and set a code on that cylinder. And no, the coil fault cannot be picked up with a resistance reading using a meter.
.
Please report the diagnostic results you see and if the problem was repaired by replacing a coil on an offending cylinder."

This is a video from a well known Ford tech on Youtube, explaining how to diagnose the issue when there is no DTC.

What type of attorney did you hire? Have a feeling I’m going to need one soon.
