Had an overheat today. Was going over South Pass, east to west, in Wyoming. three healthy climbs. Was doing speed limit (70), 2 adults and stuff, full fuel including aux tank (60g). Was in manual on transmission in 8th gear which gave ~2500 engine rpm. Ambient temp was about 65º F. Had A/C on but with that outside temp it was not working very hard. Any thoughts or observations?
Had a similar issue with my PB earlier this year in addition to funky shifting once it got up to temp. It overheated pulling a small motorcycle trailer up a relatively small hill.

There were two issues for me - an overfill of the transmission (which doesn't sound like your issue based on follow-up posts) and a harness/plug that needed to be replaced. I'm out of town right now so I can't look back at my service records to see specifically what the harness was.

Service completed in June and haven't had any issues since.

Interesting. Will look around at plugs... Many thanks!
