I've recently noticed that if I take my foot off the brake and allow the truck to slowly roll down a hill I consistently get a transmission cluck and a substantial jolt inside the vehicle. This usually occurs on the same section of road that gets backed up on my way home from work. Is this "normal" or reason for concern? Dash reads that the truck is in 1st gear when this occurs.

Is your truck fairly new with low miles??

I had this same situation and the dealer ran a transmission valve body break-in procedure. They use a computer and cycle the valves in the transmission super fast to help clear up any micro debris that may be allowing the valves to stick. I guess is a normal issue with newer 10r80’s. It worked to get the truck from bucking around really bad.

I then got a Livernois tune which now makes the transmission shift like it should from the factory.

It is. Only has 2,500 miles. I will take it to the dealership and mention this. Thanks!
